k, so these lil 4x6 canvases are great fun!!!
giving me ideas for larger scale..
almost done with this set (for the show coming up)
just have to touch up a couple details, and freshen up the black borders
(sorry for the image quality.. taken in studio... will scan in each painting when finished)
Final images .. due this Friday for the show.
(bad scanner quality, sorry for the white highlights off the paint)
Wow very hard to do tiny paintings like that >.< For me anyways. They still have a wonderfully detailed look to them too.![]()
So-naa: thank you very much! I actually find little paintings like that alot more liberating after having worked on pieces 7ft in height. lol![]()
in so many ways...
at any rate, new work here... acrylic/digital .. riffin' off the previous bots a bit, just a larger image...
there will be more! sorry I haven't posted, I have been illustrating a soon to be novel, and time/legalities won't let me post as much....
I'm still kickin' around though...
GR-1
Hey man, long since I was here.. and damn this is greatYour latest stuff is really fresh. Especially the latest robot.
Great to see your progress on the miniature robots too.
I was thinking a bit about your digital works, you need to work the atmosphere of the enviros. The piece with the giant statue is great, but the depth ruins it. Before you flooded it the piece had the same over-all sharpness and depth wasn't really there. Some atmosphere, misty grayish thickness would've really up'd the piece a bit.
Also your characters and creatures need some more attention to focal points, I'm thinking of the viking how the area around his head has the same amount of details and contrast as the horses feet. Smaller details and stronger contrast around focal points will make them easier to read as the eye have some spots to rest atit'll balance the piece.
Anyhow, nice to see some stuff again!
cheers
DefiledVisions: thanks for dropping by man! Your input and advice is always welcomed in here and I greatly appreciate it! I totally see what you mean about atmosphere and focal points/details... thanks again!![]()
sir. i just fell in love with the monster on your first page. sigh.
magnificent works all over the place.
:: drum n bass is "the" attitude ::
jamsession: why, thank you very kindly!

Wow.. I have been slacking on my updating in here!
Sorry about that folks!
Alot of what I'm working on can't be posted due to legal constraints at the time being..
BUT!!!
I can post what is going up in a couple of shows this month and next...
more robots, and I'm loving the chrome-osity of some of these guys...
Don't know if I'm roboted out yet, there may be a couple more lurking around...
First one I'll post tonight is a new "smally" .. 5x7's are a little bit more roomier than the 4x6's... and I've fallen in love with my detailing brushes...
I should post more this evening or tomorrow, depending when I get the digital versions of some big boys done...
2 shows going up the 22nd of April and 15th of May... so, I've been a bit busy creating prints, etc.
2 newer pieces for the shows..both are acrylic paintings that I've altered in PainterX...
I like the mixture of the 2 mediums...
