Hellow My names Mike. I've been browsing the forums now for awhile and really wanted to get involved in this amazing site. So I'm going to keep a daily sketchbook. I'm starting My junior year of Fine Arts this Fall at the University of Cincinnati.
I'm really looking to improve during my time off this summer and thought this would be a great place to do it. I'd appreciate any and all critiques.
Here are some studies of cow anatomy, a PS painting based on a cows skull, and some studies for a painting I'm going to start tomorrow. =D

? Great studies!!! Anyways, here to drop a couple of crits since you have so helpfully done the same for me! You seem to do a lot of searching when you are sketching, it may be a good thing but also at the same time it may be seen as messy if the searching doesn't have enough meaning to it. With every stroke try to make it count. I am personally still going through similar problems of having my strokes matter, and I personally find it helpful for me to sketch in some sort of pen/marker so that it's not erasable. Placing down my "permanent" strokes/lines down makes me think a bit more. Of course at first it may seem scary to lay down any lines, but it really helps once you get past that. I'm sure you have probably heard these from all sorts of people already, but if not, I hope it helps. Keep posting!
