Quite cool last render. I'd say more diversity in materials wouldn't hurt though.

Hey man, a lot of nice stuff here. Great render on your last post.
Try to pay attention to the proportion, specially on your sketches.
Keep it up!

Amazing work and great improvement overall, the guy on post #757 looks very nice. Very vivid color in your work.
Oh gosh, great stuff. Hope some day I can be at your level!
Sketchbook --I'd love some feedback!
Wow, another inspirational artist from my country. How come I didn't notice you before?
super cool things in this sketcdhbook. Really great progress in 2 years - unbelieveable for me. Makes me wanna draw even more.
btw, good start with Biker Mice from Mars. Hope to see some more from the series. Used to love that too.
Hey man you got some really interesting concepts.
I'd say to focus more on the general structure of the bodies. When you draw a character try to make his like nothing will move his legs from the ground.
Also, maybe it will help to use for start less fancy brushes, to sharpen naturally your edges.
Keep up !

Yo man. I like your 2 last updates. You gotta press on you proportions a bit, but you definetely pushed you rendering. Keep going!
Great stuff man.
On some works I can see how you've taken less consideration into the final shape and form before you go really heavy with the texturing and rendering and sometimes it can leave flatten a piece with otherwise good technical skill.
Really liking your use of colour, mad rendering and polished characters.
Keep it up.

hey dude, you have some nice ideas and designs. And here are my 2 cents : you should really try to be more carreful on edges, because your painting doesn't look solid, i mean that your character lacks of weight, we must feel the weight of your forms, and here, everything seems to float in the air ^^ i suggest you to check out this link http://stapletonkearns.blogspot.com/...out-edges.html and to be more aware of this and use it better to create awesome art ^^
haven't posted in a while

Definetely anatomy studies. Get some books and have always near you. But I wasn't copying images from there. I was trying to underestand how muscle and bones intertwine between each other, and then was trying to draw it out of memory, or do different gesture with of the same are of a body, and after that - was checking for errors. Be prepared to make a shitload of mistakes and hate your art before you'll actually get some decent results. But never stop, even if you think that you're already good at it. Keep pushing yourself. Sometimes I was raged by the critiques, because I though I've done ok with one or another piece. But after couple days I was starting to see myself mistakes, I didn't saw at first. So your real enemy in art, and I assume in any craft - is yourself.
But inspiration will help you to cope with you flaws and make you want to push yourself. This generation of digital art is such an amazing time, and so many artist already became legends. Find those artist, who would inspire you.
Less impact on me had videotutorials, such as Massive Black's or Gnomon's. They're good, and artist, who lead the courses are awesome and legendary, but you can't just watch a process and start drawing the same way. Only practice will result in progress.
P.S. Art won't save the world, it's rolling down in the drainhole, and can't be stopped.

Wow, so much cool stuff in here! Very much enjoyed your doodles in post #761.
Out of curiousity, do you do everything on the computer or do you draw/paint in traditional mediums as well?

My Sketchbook: Blunder's Blund-o-rama
The production stuff, for freelance or main job I do solely digitally. It's just because of speed. At work I use Wacom Intuos 4M tablet and for home I've recently bought Cintiq 24HD, because I felt, that now I have enough of skill and knowledge to use Cintiq at most of it's potential, rather than buying it in early stages of my studying.
But I do enjoy tradional medium - all my life I have sketchbook in my bag, pencil or pen. Last year I've started to use markers (and oh boy they're cool). Also I'm enjoying painting Games Workshop's miniatures and practicing some sculpting. But it's all just for fun and to rest after computer, because most of my time - I draw digitally.
