Amazing!! What size and dpi do you usually find works best for detail and not slowling down photoshop? Or do you work withing different options depending on the type of work you are doing?

This is an awsome piece, realy wanna see your vid but im a youtube noob. Whenever I hit link it goes to your page, then goes right to make your own account, so i did and it just goes to my account. Cant figure out how to get it to stay on your page so i cant watch/download. Anyways thanks alot.
thank you for all the great feedback, i am really glad you guys enjoy the videos! i actually have 3 more mini tutorials in the works right now, i just need to record the audio and ill be finished. they should be on my youtube site in the next couple of days.
moninja - hmmm. if you just go to youtube you should be able to type in daarken in the search bar and find my videos. if you still have problems i will try to embed the videos somewhere so you can see them. let me know if you still have trouble.
dortega - i always just paint in 300 dpi. my canvas size is usually around the 5k range on the longest side. if im doing something really complicated that i know is going to be on a cover ill go larger than that. i work on a mac, so i never have any problems with my computer being slow, even with those sized files. sometimes, if i have a lot of layers, my file size will reach the 600meg-1 gig range. thats when things start getting a little slow.
braintree - im glad it helped! color is something that has always been a problem for me.
gringo - wow, thanks! ive only seen a few of their videos, but they are definitely awesome.
ozzo - thanks! i think i will finally come out of my cave and start posting more.
alonso - my pleasure. ive always believed in helping out the community by making my tutorials available for free. hopefully i can continue to do so.
yongs, pegahoul, dekal, lone wolf, robot tank, rlederer, sidharth, suikostar, sony, bel696 - thank you thank you!
Its always a unique experience to see how each artists approaches the canvas. You are keeping yourself very busy and producing some solid work all across the board. Thank you for taking time to make this video, very giving of you!

Great stuff man. I loved every minute of it. It's so cool to see how you work. Hope that it won't be the last of your tutorialsAlso your concepts for WH are amazing, even among the high quality of most of them you can tell which ones are your's.

so again: KEEP THE TUTORIALS COMING !
just watched through the tutorial, great work! super awezome and it was really cool =P
keep up the good work!
Awesome man, about as good or better than anything you have to pay for...
Great videos man. It's awesome for me to see that not every concept artist finishes painting in 1.5 hours or whatever freakish speed that some people pull off. My average pieces also take some serious time.
The skills that can be obtained watching your videos where a great help. I had a few moments when i thought..."why the heck didn't I think of that"
Great videos man... very inspiring. I learned a lot.
Wow, fucking insane. Was much of the video sped up? Do you ever get carpaul tunels (sp?) with the Wacom? Anybody? I was thinking if you go very fast you must be very loose--I tend to cramp up when really concentrating, like I'm disecting a bomb. Anyway you're awesome-very inspirational!
Best
Very informative/impressive. You set a good bar to be working towards, in terms of quality. Thanks for taking the time to put that together, and for free, no less.
Really slick tutorial. Very much appreciated.
First of all thankyou for the video ! Its a big inspiration source. Im a fan of your work, thankyou again![]()
So awesome! thanks a bunch for the vids
