First Digital Attempts, criticism very appreciated

I have started working with a wacom tablet recently and was hoping for some criticism on my first attempts. I'm not sure I am pleased with the rendering style but its the closest I could get to my method with traditional media. I would love some criticism and some insight on drawing and rendering with the tablet. I have lots of experience with traditional dry media and paint but it's, of course, very different and I'm feeling stuck. I am posting some of my charcoal sketches first to give some context.
