    Icon Cosimo Ferri portfolio

    Hello friends,
my name is Cosimo Ferri and I am an italian artist. I work for Edizioni Star comics publisher on two comics series, "Jonathan Steele" and "Rourke". I am also cover artist on new incoming series, but for now it is top secret, sorry! However I am here to show you my digital paintings and illustrations!

    Shame

You took the three faces in the second picture from another work of art...

You should mention the artist and piece you took it from if nothing else.

    Shame, shame

I've just seen it (or them) on a photo (The subject was a priest and I don't know the artist), then I revised and inserted it in another context. And this is a painting, not a photo!
    Shame? For what, sorry?

Oh, just for precision, also for "Forgotten love" I inspired from a photo, artist unknow. If he or she contacts me, I will be happy to mention him/her.
    Thank you!

If I took the Betty Boop and put her in a cyber punk background its still a copyright infringement. If you were taken to court you would lose. That is not a real change from the original and you know it.

If you're so confident then post the original and let us all see the "changes you made"

Sorry, but are you the author of the photo? Are you his lawyer? why I must waste time with you, if not?
Anyway, because I am an artist and not a "timewaster", I will change my piece, no prob!

I much appreciate the new one. I think it fits your style better (IMO). Definitely matches the body better. Sorry to ream you so much but if you get in trouble for copyright infringement it can be a 250,000 dollar fine(as you may know). I took this class last term and each week students would come and and the teacher would point out how most the projects could get taken to court and proven to be copyright infringement. (the teacher was a specialist, and totally cool. he reamed a few of them too).

I wont forgive you for calling me a time waster though. As a professional you should respect the works of other artists whether they know you're doing it or not. Protecting people's rights is not a waste of time.

Yes, I must say that I like it very much too.

No prob, I understand what you said. It was more simple remake the piece, that explain my reason

Sorry if it seemed so. I respect work of everyone. Ok, I hope that's all clear! Thanks for your support, with cool mind I can say I appreciate it, really.
    See you
