his thumb, where the bridge is, looks really really nice. That's the kind of richness you should go for with the rest of the giant. You put a nice reflected light on the edges, and that can be everywhere (darker with distance, but still there). Your tones in the river look really nice, I love the subtle ripples in the light on the bottom. You're approaching photo realism in some places, but the metal isn't matching that- I'd paint over the trees a little bit if you need to, they stand out as too different from the rest of the painting. The only other thing I think you're missing is deeper shadows on the city. They still look a bit pasted on, just throw an overlay on there and bring in the blues from underneath the giant. Oh, and your shadows under the trees look really nice, cool diffuse. It's come a long way, you're almost done!
