I like the life drawing. Are you doing loads. I had a model every day when I was doing foundation but I'm not sure if they still do that. It would be interesting to see what they're making you do. In other words - post more.

Hope to see you improve loads from all the figure drawing now. I looked lara up, so are you still in high school right now (doing both simultaneously) or did you just finish?

mix of bridgman, life drawing 1 min up to 20 min stuff, concept doodles, old guy sleeping in waterstones, then a sp at the end

You've been doing alright by my books Raffix since you started. I've always enjoyed your self portraits and it's good to see inside your sketchbook. What do you think of LARA, thus far? Does it seem the right place for you?

I would personally like to see more work going towards the underlying structure of the figure, the life drawings seem to be pretty stiff and a bit mushy, just try drawing something akin to the bridgeman studies you've done before applying the detail, it can help you create more solid and dynamic figures.

Great work Raffix, I love your life drawings, and I know exactly what you mean about the previous course you were studying, I'm studying a foundation at Liverpool Community college art's centre, and quite frankly it's pretty pathetic, I haven't had a single life drawing session yet. I'd love to live closer down London to study at LARA myself. But yeah as for your work, really good stuff, It's gave me a better Idea how I should be building up shadow tones in pencil sketches, so cheers for that. Hope to see more soon

hey man good to see all the hard work you've been doing. the life drawings and pencil renderings are looking good. at this point, your concepts from imagination are lagging behind your studies, but that just means you need to practice and exercise your mind more. it's only a matter of having your imagination catch up to your observational skills. keep up the good work!

sketchbook pages from the last few days

^tube ppl at the top of this 1

im feeling alot more confident about concepts etc and imagination work generally after thinking a lot/being taught about shapes and stuff. i t was all wrong before.
this is imagiation progress from 2 months ago (left) and the other day (right.) better shapes on the right
probs spent 3 or 4 times longer on the old one.....just shows how bad my approach was . . .

Hey, mate. Nice seeing some more concepty stuff from you. It's good to see you put all the knowledge from your studies to work. Oh, and I was in England this week we don't have tubes where I'm from (Island's too small, there'd be no point) but I had a go at drawing people on them too. My lines were no where near as nice as yours though, More like masses of scribbles. So how the bloody hell you'd manage doing that? Were you drawing between stops or something?

Either way, liking what I see as always. It's good having a creep through your stuff especially when you seem to be taking a few steps forward recently. Keep up the good work!
