Wow, from April to now you made some serious improvement. Also, loving that awesome stencil. I think someone may have seen exit through the gift shop. Also, I have a question: you said you did the first picture in your last post from a picture in the npg. What does npg stand for?

Nice work, I know when I was 17, I was certainly not at this level, keep it up. That watercolor portrait you posted in September is really well done, strive for that quality or better every time you create something.

Great pencil and stroke control in those last sketches, I really like that. Keep experimenting with, you rock

I don't know if you do that already, but flipping your sketches in front of a mirror, helps finding mistakes easier, it really opens your eyes.

That last one is your mother isn't it? Your likenesses are getting more consistent. During the holidays, see if you can persuade her to sit for a bit each day. No one in my family can sit still for longer than 2 minutes.

    Hey, you're alive?
Nice update, the woodcut is bloody good, especially considering how hard that medium is.
I've been having secret santa problems of my own recently too.

Anyways, my only crit is you seem to be finding trouble keeping both eyes on level + the same size/shape. I'm terrible for that myself, so bad that I'd just spend years drawing people with one eye. But, your pencil works are still looking nice. Just try to keep an eye out for mistakes.

Hope to see more from you soon. You take so long to uppdaaaaatteee.

Some sick stuff man. I'd suggest doing a bunch of perspective exercises. I notice some wonky angles and perspective in your viewfinder still lives. Try some stuff with just cubes and ellipses/cylinders.

Anyway, keep it up and you're gonna kick some assss! Keep going.

Wow Raffix great updates, you are improving so quickly. I was going to list the ones I really liked, BUT I really like them all. I've never seen anyone do a woodcut before so if you can be bothered could you explain the materials and process in a little more detail. Just keep doing what you're doing because it's working.

I've read from Hale's book (drawing lessons from the masters) to avoid putting cast shadows. Unless it gives form/dimension because it usally ruins the form of any shape. I've noticed you put cast shadows below the nose. Here's what hale wrote:
" Now let us consider the shadow beneath the nose. The shadow is there, of course, but if you draw it as you see it, you will probably give the illusion that the model (male or female) has a mustache. The next time you see a portrait by a skillful artist, notice how he has eliminated or suboridinated the shadow under the nose."
This goes with the cast shadow on the neck to etc.
"Beginners seem to be attached to cast shadows with blind passion"-hale *not that im saying ur noobz... im noob!*

    Hello again, nice tut.

It's funny, at our school we have to use this Victorian looking press thing. Using a clean roller would be much easier. Don't think the posemaniac things look too bad, considering you're still not at home with the tablet. Just keep practicing, I'm sure you'll get it.
    Keep up the good work
