haha i like your style, though i'm not sure if it's intentional or not.. i'm sure everyone would like to see more anatomy studies, but maybe don't inflict so much style on those!

Thanks a lot for your criticism. Yeah, this stuff is maybe a bit stylized, couldn't really get away from that. But I'll be workin' on it !

Habe deinen Thread gesucht und nach etwas suchen gefunden. Sehr schön!
Also ich poste mal, damit der auch schön wieder nach oben in der Liste rutsch und schön viel feedback kriegt. Ich update heute wahrscheinlich auch mal wieder, ist jetzt fast ein Jahr her, das ich was hochgeladen habe

You do have a quirky and interesting style, I like it. I would agree though... try to leave the style behind when you're doing studies from life! That way, you're not using style as a "crutch" but can choose to use it or not depending on the situation.

For anatomy studies i can very much recommend "Bridgemans - Complete Guide to drawing from life".

Love the style you've got going.. keep up with the anatomy studies and maybe even try to encorporate it in your style?? anyways, keep up the work!!

Your cartoony sketches are quite nice

But as other have mentioned some anatomy studies will be good for you. As Fumble have already suggested Bridgeman, i'll recommend:

Actually, I bought two Birdgman books some time ago. Had them lying around all the time, so I took one of them and did some studies.

Hey guys !
Wow, that's a really lovely ketchbook you two posted. Very inspiring.
Todays anatomy studies focuse on the thumb. For some reason, my scanner started to mess around with the lineart. The drawing on the top right came out really pale. Anyone an idea what the reason for that could be ? I'm pretty sure my scanner used to do a better job.
Anyway, I will try to do another update today (probably a comic or something of that sort).

Okay, here comes the second update. I figured I could use my recently gained knowledge about the human hand for some a bit more cartoony "studies".
(The scan is still kinda screwed. Have to fugure out whats up with my scanner)

I'm sorry that there wasn't any update yesterday, but I was quite busy... (slacking in front of my xbox, to be honest).
Anyway, here is the new update, this time focusing on the human arm. The first two pages are regular studies, and the third one is once again a cartoony approach.

@ Braintree: Life drawing classes could be a good idea, actually. I never did such a thing, to be honest. The idea of actually signing up for it kinda makes me nervous haha.
But I'll try to implement some life drawing in the next updates.

Definitely try to take some life drawings classes if you can. It helps out a lot, and makes you think more about what you are drawing. Don't worry about being embarrassed once you get into the class, 10 minutes in you'll be concentrating on drawing the figure so much it wont mean anything.

I think we'll take life drawing classes on design-school. For a start you can sketch some nudes from the web

There's a great deviant page with a lot of poses, even clothed models for costume reference. You have to be a registered ruser to view most of them but I'd say that it's definitely worth it. So maybe you want to check it out:

hey Robo, i agree with the guys that life drawing is one of the best ways to up your anatomy game. and once you get into it you forget the nervousness and concentrate on getting everythin right...

MAN I'm late with this update, sorry.
Okay, here is a drapery study and two anatomy studys, one of which (the last one) is actually kind of embarassing. I was somewhat struggling with it, especially with the face. Oh man, I kinda screwed that one. ANYWAY, here we go:

Hey man. Sorry I've been out of it this last week. But here I am to spread crit-y goodness!

I'm liking the last batch of studies you've been doing, keep that up for SURE. But I have an idea... throw some tones in there! A lot of your sketches are looking like very light line drawings. If you work in some shading (remember to go dark when necessary) you can work on your sight, your draftsmanship, AND your tonal understanding. It's win-win.
