so this is the first painting that i've really every attempted with a tablet. any input would be helpful. was thinking maybe a cast from the tree on the top left of the mushroom.. tried one but it didn't look right. any help with the colors, shading would be awesome. thanks

Foreground, middleground, and background are clearly defined at the bottom of the painting, but at the top everything just kind of blurs together. I would try to make it clearer that the mushroom cap is in front of the tree. The mushroom cap itself is flattened out by that random dark spot you have in the middle of it; I would eliminate that.

cool, should i tone down some of the white swirls as well?? i wanted to make it look like they were glowing but it might be hurting the definition of the overall shape of the mushroom cap??

It looks more like plastic wrap than a glow at the moment.

It looks more like you took the liquify tool and went to town

Love his face. Although it looks like you painted the mushroom and the sky in traditionally, scanned in the work than had a good ol' time with filters in photoshop.

Try to stay away from filters! and an over use of leaf/grass shaped brushes...

    Hope this helps! good luck!

I understood the beard to be smoke coming out of his mouth. Which was it?

    Either way- needs work.
