    Wooster Collective

I'm a bit of a sucker for Street Art. I dunno, I just like, it's an actual expression of how you feel from the place you live in. Graffiti (wether it's stenciled or not), modifications to ads, all that stuff.

So I pass along this link, and ask: Do you like or don't like street art?.

Street art, terrorist art, illegal art, whatever... it's all incredible.

A friend and I set up 3 sculptures in the middle of 3 streets in Marfa, TX and it went over really well.

I'm all for it if you aren't defacing another persons property creative or otherwise.

I like good art. Don't care where it is or what media. If you're defacing something or seriously pissing someone off by drawing on their stuff, then it's a problem. Otherwise, I'm all for it. There's a bridge over the highway around here that my bus passes under every time I go to school. The supporting pillars are painted up to about the ten foot mark and I think it looks great.

So, for example, if someone were to work over a political propaganda ad is not ok?.

Honestly, I don't think the message on an ad makes any difference unless it's supporting the Nazi party or something ridiculous like that. Whether you agree with it or not, it's a space that they paid good money to advertise on, and working it over to a point at which it detracts from the ad itself is vandalism and destruction of property. I'm not saying that the art can't be good or even great, but in cases like that there must be somewhere better to put it.
