Hello everybody, well I decided to make one post and put everything new in just one as a gallery instead of making a new post for every single new image.

Well this time around it's a character obviusly. Done 95% in Painter with some help from Photoshop here and there. Also I used Das studio to help me with the proportions (after all, characters aren't my strong point).
I hope you like it, critics & comments are welcome,

hate seeing a thread without comments, so here we go:

Good work, love the mood and colors, love the design too and there are some really cool render points, I like it.

    I have some critiques too:

the hair looks really flat especially on the bright part, you could do some highlights or shadows to it, some details.
Her left arm looks too large I think.
the knives look a little out of perspective and flat too.
You could also work into the left side of the background a little more, define it with more lights and shadows, and details.

    Keep it up

    Hey Rizo,
I quite felt like Alejandro, so here are a few thoughts... (but I'm no artist, just a curious viewer )

Her armour is awesome! Especially the left shoulder/arm and the red cloth between her legs. Next thing is this scabbard (?!) on her back - really nice!

Furthermore the lighting of these parts and the hip bags is wonderful.
I also like the idea of her hair style, her facial expression and her overall combat stance.

But... the hair is, as Alejandro mentioned, somehow flat and lifeless. It'd be cool if it's as dynamic and aggressiv as she. (The left part looks really odd)

Probably it's just me, but something about her knife looks wrong - as if blade and shaft aren't properly connected...

And at last, I think her eyes are looking a bit lifeless. I'd give her some angry/stunning glare that fits her body and combat suit...

That's just me... perhaps it helps you a little.

    best regards,
    bearmann

New couple of images, Exploring some more things in a couple of different directions. As you can see lately I'm focusing on characters, since it's what I need to improve the most. Clearly a couple of different directions for each set of designs, I hope you like it.

Ooh, I love both those last pieces. I think my only critique would be that the second-to-last image is a little flat in color overall. The background and foreground are not really separated. It took me a minute, in fact, to see the wheels and realize that the vehicle was not a spaceship. Maybe you could push the contrast in that image a little more to make it really pop?

nice.............. the auto and mech designs are obviously your strong point, your
faces and head proportions are lacking tho. If you could make those facial dimensions
realistic it would complete these rather than be that destraction, making these look semi- pro. My older professor told me once that people always look at the heads and hands/ feet as measures quality of a realistic piece. Or something like that. this should be very easy if you just spent some time on just the proportions of a human skull/ with skin and muscles as well.

    Stealth Cargo Aircraft

Well, checking my reference folders I came up with the idea of "if there would be a stealth cargo plane, how would it look like" jump to my sketchbook and after a while the basic sketch for this guy came up. Done mostly In Painter, I hope you like it

The idea of a cargo stealth plane sounds like a realistic scenario for certain situations.

When I look at the concept however, I'm somewhat distracted by the way the shadows are on the plane. I looked up several photos of aircraft flying, and I'm not too entirely awake to piece together the puzzles, but you may want to research on how light will hit an object or plane in this case when it's at that altitude above the clouds. You could get really detail oriented about what kinda clouds they are; if they're low flying clouds, then they'll have a different shape, etc. But the clouds aren't the focus, but they also tell the story. I think you got the right idea with the shadows, but I think they might stretch and blend off a bit at certain points; i.e. the farthest point of the shadow away from the sun. The way that it looks now, it looks like the light is really static and looks unnatural.

I also did some brief reading on stealth technology, and I think the plane you did here looks believable, but maybe was too close to the F117 Nighthawk look. I read that the F117 was not really aerodynamic and that's what I kinda get the impression from here. The F117 was a plane that it has a redundant flight control system just incase it stalled a lot from it's non aerodynamic-ness. I think most of the planes that were designed after the F117 was developed, was more aerodynamic while also being more stealthily designed. A lot of stealth design happens to go into the shape that a plane has to absorb radar signals/waves, dissipating the energy so it wouldn't return the signal. I'm also not sure if the engines would be attached to what looks like the cargo bays?

I think I'm picking at it because it looks and feels real, but there are things throwing me off which disallow me from really believing it. It's a design that's intended to be part of today's reality; hence the USAF decal. However, if it was some other decal like the Federation of 12 planets or whatever, then I think a lot of things would slide because it's an alternative reality.
