Hi doncam! I'm glad you're getting some time to play in PS. I'm hoping I can go digital soon also. I like your older sketches. I always like to look back at some of my older stuff when I wasn't worried about learning because even though my drawing might have sucked it was more free somehow and I was able to just draw what I was feeling. Not well, of course, but without worry.

Hi Nic, been a while since my last visit. If you happen to see my life floating around out there, send it back to me, PLEASE. I was hoping things woulf have got back to normal by now, biut it hasn't happened. The best I can do, is to sneak whatever time I can, when I can. This post is the accumulation of sneaks, I saw it on the 'net, and it took my fancy, so i refed it, this is the result, sketch, PS and Painter. I never finished the sketch properly, the hand is crap, but it's all I can do right now, I just wanted to post something.
Hi Black Spot, yep past tomorrow already. Problem is I can't get it happening on my laptop and without my Wacom, and I'm still learning that stuff. Easter is coming, and hopefully after the Easter Bunny departs, I might (hope), to get some thing done on that young lady. Because I'm learning as I go, it's a slow process for me.
With this style of sketch, I hope to do a lot more, I kinda like the sketch look with a bit of colour, it's also easy to do, without a heap of rendering.

Okay, I'm still around, with what little time I have. This is a WIP I hope to finish.
I've also been messing with Painter and PS CS4, I can do that on my laptop, where ever I am, nothing worth posting though, without my tablet it's a bit difficult.

Sorry it took me so long to reply... I like this last pic. The hair on the gorilla looks pretty good. I have a hard time with hair. Even when I try to draw it less stringy it ends up stringy. Keep sneaking time when you can! That's all some of us can manage, right?

I've been working with the Reilly method for the human form and find it quite flixible. Not showing stuff until I'm ready. ImagieFX has an anatomy mag with cd showing it if you get your hands on it, I'm sure you'd improve a lot quicker - you don't have to learn all the names etc, but it will give your bodies more form.

Back after a long compulsory break. Have had a bit of time in hospital, brought on by a busted hernia, not to be recommended. I couldn't sit/bend for any period of time at first or stand, so most activities were put on hold, and during this time I kinda lost my incentive to sketch - however, I actually got a bit motivated at the weekend, and this is the result. Please keep in mind, the hand aint workin too well just yet. I'm hoping I can keep myself cranked up to get going again.

Actually, that''s not bad. Maybe the rest did you good. You've observed a lot better. It's not perfect - the ear is a bit overworked.
