Really cool. I especially like the statue image and the zbrush work is very interesting.

What I would shoot for, and something I'm trying to work on myself, is fleshing out your forms with more volume and confidence. (I don't mean to sound like a shampoo commercial) With a lot of the pieces here you have the areas of light and shadow blended smoothly, which makes them look flat and formless. Try to make the forms 'pop' with more confident, defined areas of light and dark.

    Sweet.

Hey man, good start to your sketchbook. I'm with Drin on the statue image, that's definitely my favourite - it has a real sense of form to it. The Z-Brush stuff is showing some promise too, maybe firm up some of the shapes with anatomy ref; the lizard man's shoulder blades for example. He's a cool figure though - I'd love to see a lizard tongue darting out as well for some extra character!

    Keep it up dude.

Your studies are looking good, but your figure drawings seem to lack dimensionality/ they look a little flat. Maybe when you're doing studies it would be of benefit for you to spend some time doing studies where you just focus on the overall geometric shapes/structure to make sure you really get the 3-dimensionality of bodies. Think about where things are in space!

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1274435646 is just awesome! You grasped it!

If not from photo-reference - even more respect (but even if so, still very good)!
