Nice environ. My only suggestion is to add some cross hatching between the metal post to suggest a wire gate behind the guards.(Maybe even barred wire on top too) Otherwise it's just four open metal posts that people can easily walk through, and the building behind the guards seem less protected.

I like the color variation ones, I guess I'm slightly more won for the second but I think either works out really well. First one feels more real, and the second one feels a tad more dream/flashback like I think.

Inspiering stuff! I think this last one has a nice composition and tone! The blue's and green's go together nicely and create a feeling of sollitude. Like really early in the morning.
How much time did you spend on it?

omg yes! i listen to the battlestar galatica osts too haha. halo and myst are pretty good too.

something about the hatch on the floor (bottom right) looks a bit off in perspective, it feels to me like the floor is tilting down. the shape on the entryway on the leftside (the little triangle switch thing) also looks slightly off.

    great colors, keep it up.

JailHouseRock2- Hey dude, thanks a lot . No I'm currently not working anywhere. There's a possible opportunity coming up so Im really trying to get my shit together with environments.

hp- yeah dude, wicked songs. I'll try to make the perspective look better. thanks for the comments.

Mark Tarrisse- Not as much as I hate you dude. lol jk. Honestly, I have a shit time doing every one of these. Like, most of the time I'm ripping my hair out of my scalp, sobbing in the corner asking aloud, "why god..oh why?" And then my gf consoles me on the phone saying that she bought me chocolate. Usually does the trick. Then once my sugar imbalance has been fixed I fight the devil once again......

.and I realized I didnt need to go on like that. But I'm tired, and I don't need to have an excuse. I just need to drawrrr

Here's an update. I'm taking a break from this, probably touch on it again later in the week with subway eyes. I need to do another environment.

    Anyone have ANY IDEAS???

I'd love a poster of him, seriously.

I love your work, what saddens me is you were already insanely good when you joined and we get to know very little of the learning process that led you where you are. It's beyond my wildest dreams what you can do.

Anyway, now fangirl/ jealousy moment has passed... The problem I mentioned on the neck is corrected. Only thing I spot now is that I'm not sure if his wrist should be as thick as it looks to me.

Tight shit, the last one is sooo my apartment from the future

As for an idea, how about a trainstation, or better, a subway cart? You have so much going on in your enviros, this would fit perfectly.

EDIT: The color variations on the bladerunneresque piece: First one, second is just trickery, first has nicer contrast going on.

you could try doing an outdoor environment with some landscapey ness since you've been doing industrial stuff.

Spaggen- thanks man! I will indeed.

Leonor- haha that's awesome to hear. Although my story is lame. Shoot me off an email. We can do a little chit. Little chat. thanks!

Chupacabra- thanks man. btw, so jealous of your job lol. What an awesome game asylum was.

Jabo- thanks dude, and I agree with you on the colours.

mariusz- thanks man. Love your work.

Incinerated- theyz is a coming man. thanks!

    Braintree- whoa thankyou.

hp- hey thanks. Ill try and see if I can wrangle up a wip. But I usually work in a few layers. Ill see what I can do. As for trying other things, I'm just trying to stick to more architectural stuff for a reason now.

    jackpot_anjr90- thank you man.

Quike Garcia- thanks a lot! yeah maybe...or maybe not. lol jk

dariocoelho- hey man. good to hear from you. thanks for the comments.

Okay, so I've been hard at work trying to juggle contract work and this upcoming job opportunity. The job calls for someone to do environments and it's in Vancouver so I'm pretty gung ho to land it. Been dedicating a lot of time to these environments to spruce up my folio. (sorry kitty.) And there's a good chance I may not get the gig, but I think it's a good thing that I busted my ass anyway. These are still very much a work in progress, as well as the ones above. I've got 3 days to finish em all off but tonight I'll take a little R&R watching Louis CK live (WOOT WOOT) and probably hitting the strip club for a nice back massage.....seriously. lol

thanks to all for the comments,

    -andrew
