Post from a Brave newbie: Bezoomy's Sketchbook

Hi there,
I'm 21 years old and I am currently in school for a B.S. in Marketing. I am hoping to get into graphic design and eventually concept art and illustration.
These first drawings are from the last year or so and most of them are quick sketches (0min) I do while I am in class or with friends. I am a little embarrassed to post them as I do not feel they are nearly as good as what I have seen in this forum, but I know that comparing my work to others' work is only going to be cause for sadness. I have to start somewhere, right?

Anyway, I am looking for feedback and direction on how to improve. I have never taken a formal art class so I'm sure my technique isn't as solid as it could be. I have learned mostly through books and online tutorials.
