Great studies man, especially your still life paintings.
Oh, and thank you very much for posting link to that flicker galley with all the bust photos, I was looking for something like that for a long time.

Nice studies man, on the character I think you could do a little with widening him a bit, he feels very narrow. Also small nitpickings but the division marker on the chest plate seems a bit off centered with the right peck plate larger then the left. The other thing is the helmet respirator, the left sides angle is different then the right on the spots either side of the circular breathing apparatus. Nice renders though, painting industrial tech is haaaaarrrrd. Keep it up man and thanks for stopping by my SB!

    Hey Danny!

You're a workaholic, am I right? I love to draw all the time. But sometimes I don't wanna do anatomy but environments or something.

Your work on the soldier is good, too. But I (and I said "I" because I don't know if it's right or not) would try to give him bigger or musculary shoulders. Bigger, tougher, stronger. Can't find the right words in english now, I'm sorry. But I hope you know what I mean.

    Yo danny!

The soldier looks weak. Kinda lax. It might have to do with the shoulders being too small (as someone already mentioned).
Also both your hips and shoulders are horizontally drawn. This is not natural when taking a pose like that. Try geting some more flow and interesting shapes in the hip-area, and do something with the shoulders/upper arms, and I think itll be better.

Apart from that, keep it up! Love watching your stuff

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the warm replies I am currently really busy with my new job, they barely let me be at home with my family sending me away for a week at a time out of home, not to mention I haven't painted anything digital for almost 3 weeks which sucks!!!! hopefully within a week or two things will look better.
I got my sketchbook and study books with me at all times so I am making progress in other things, my scanner died so I can't even scan any of that stuff.

    Will see you soon!

Go Danny, go Danny, Go, Go , GO!

I see you improving and improving. You may not see it, but i sure do!
That cast study from the other head is good, particularly the values. I think you should do some more of those and really be patient with those planes!
Your pencil work seems more confident too, and you're not backing down from trying out completed drawing either, are you? Great!

    superema thanks you!

    Twan thanks for the tip

    Evolvana Ty, Ty

Emil_ Nau problemas Glad to help buddy, your sketchbook is pretty amazing by itself!

Metal Fingers thanks for the input man, those are all very good advices I will keep those in mind. I agree with the chest plates and the shoulders.

tasser Thanks buddy, yeah his shoulders could be wider for sure.

BlackDelphin heeeeeey! great to see you again, thanks for the warm feedback, improving? I don't think so I feel I'm stuck pretty much.
but I will sure finish that soldier some time, I want to start building a portfolio, it's just my work schedule is so crazy I barely was at home.

Music for the soul and mind

I'm back at home for a day, no time to draw again....! errr, but there is a light somewhere, in few days I will start being home every day which will give me time for painting again, cant wait! but I wasn't all just working I had my sketchbook with me all the time and here's some of the stuff I was scribbling about.
And also a slight progress on the soldier, popular demand I fixed his chest and shoulders, any ideas or suggestions are very welcome.
    Cya all soon!

You are a really good head sketcher, dude! I love your head sketches, you did improve so much and very fast. I like to take a look into your sketchbook daily for getting my heads better

The tree is cool but the fork looks like the ones on the trees I draw from my mind. Don't know if you did this by observation or imagination, the only critique is the fork.

    Keep it on, Danny!

I totally agree about the progress you made from your first works till now.
Keep up with those sketches and studies especially on the anatomy, hands, legs, etc.

Try to enter a chow- it's really fun and it helps to get the best result in minimum time.

One more suggestion- try to use more fluid lines in your sketches and drawings, it will make you're drawings feel more life like, and it will teach you to define shapes with only few lines.

    Cheers,
    Alex.

    Maestro, some music please!

    N E X T Thank you!

tasser wow thank dude, I'm really flattered that you find inspiration in my works the tree was from real life I try to do as much as real life as possible, teaches you a lot.

Icecold thanks man! your warm feedback makes me feel cozy and warm inside and stuffz

Fallenangel Thank you, I try to loosen my lines as much as I can and I think I'm doing progress in that area.

I'm back home for half a day not much time for painting but I got some sketches from my travels at Waterford in north Cali.
Diner sketches, no shading here makes you think about different aspects such as line work, line weight, perspective and relation of everything, pretty neat exercise I think I will do a lot more of these in the future.
    I used a B2 Pencil for these.
Sorry for the bad quality, my scanner is officially dead T_T

It seems you youve been keeping busy. your figures are definitely improving a lot. The future solider looks good but, I think you could push the values some more.

I think you could push the the bunching of intervals on round forms, like this one http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1281335801 ,you could draw 4 bolts instead of 3 and push them closer to the edge and the salt shakers and whatnot, just making the planes in the middle much larger then the ones on the edge just to make the roundness read a little easier even in a flat profile view.

    keep it up!

    alexson Thanks son!

Sweron Trying to move forward, it's easy to get stuck in my comfort zone.

    purb36 Thank you so much!

    tasser With hard work and Will anything is possible bro.}

    jskotte Thanks a lot!

Zat Thank you mate, hard work and persistence is one of the keys to success

surfandsnow it took me few minutes to get what your saying but you got a point, thanks for that.

    raminafshari Thank you mate

theUNKNOWNsketcher Glad you like it! more comic to come in the future! )

Working close to home and being home every day sure feels good, though this is gonna be only for month before I get back on the road again I sure enjoy being home everyday, trying to spend as much time as possible on studies and working on my portfolio but between my daughter needing endless attention to watching Dexter season 3 with my wife I feel I could sure spend some more time studying...
Anyhow I feel the medic soldier is pretty much done so I can move on to the next piece in the series, I think about maybe starting a sniper or a heavy duty dude with some ridiculous sized minigun or something.

Glad to receive any of your thoughts and critics, thanks!
