Good job with those Scott Robertson studies. I recommend doing those with traditional medium as well.

Thanks Jaravine- I've been doing some doodles in pencil here and there- but maybe I'll use this as an excuse to go to the art supply store
Some more sketchy stuff, some dinosaurs based on a friend's spontaneous story about a brontosaurus that has to wear a helmet because he keeps hitting his head on stuff, and some subway stuff.
I love the 'subway stuff'. Great sketches.

Simple and elegant. The water is definitely the best part![]()

Here's a Babylon 5 piece.
dude check those housey type things. there are a lot of proportion problems, mostly because you have small doors and too tall floors and windows! stairs are also too tall, and no door is on street's level, but a bit higher at least.
keep up!
Hey Rhubix, nice to see you posting your animations. They look really clean and imagine they are from Flash. One suggestion is to give some variance to the sequence or loop your are doing by letting the characters hang longer and or higher in the air during the leaps. If you are using a symbol you can just move the whole pose to a different position.
Thanks Razv- I'm definitely not confortable with house proportions yet- I'll try to keep doing the quick sketches and pay more attention to the accessories as I do them.
Perspective is not a strength of mine >.<
Thanks for the comments Cout<mecha - Those where done in toonboom animate pro2, I can't stand flash - the drawing tools aren't as sensitive and versatile as TB.
These where just meant as quick practice sketches, but if i do longer cycles I'll definitely switch it up a bit
oops- almost forgot to attatch my image >.< - Just got my wisdom tooth yanked so these have a little bit of pain killer in them heh. Can't wait to eat reall food again- yum smoothies![]()
Not really happy with it- but I said I'd update. - feeling pretty underwhelmed with myself lately ... sigh - I'll keeep on going >.<
Trying to find inspiration out of some self doubt. Making demo reels and portfolio's always turns me into a big bag of nerves.
your animation is so GREAT~
I like all of your work
keep doing these plz

Hello!
Your updates are looking fine as ever. Good work on the babylon 5 piece. Her neck seems a bit thin though, but that could be just me. Other than that you're doing great and it's nice to see you work on different things.
As for the underwhelmed part you mentioned; Look back what you have produced so far and be proud of what you have! You're nowhere near the end of your limitations. :] Keep up the good work because it shows!
Thanks Ear5cm
and thanks Mila, I'll try not to listen to the voices in my head
here's some sketch stuff- spending most of my time on animation tests.
I love those sketches !
You capture movement very well

today's smattering is some cartoons - playing with level of realism a little bit
and a froggy. just for fun.
Thanks rabbit run. I do have a reference but I didn't adhere to it very carefully- I don't know my head from my feet in ballet, so I just looked up some twirly stuff.
I think I'm going to throw this on the back burner and play with some simpler characters for a while.
I didn't even start with a specific design when I did this- I just kind of threw it together.- not smart
In the mean time- I went to a potluck yesterday- so here's wip potluck picture
subway stuffs
Really like the second page Rhubix, each character has some nice emotion to it.
Awesome stuff here.
I love the animation studies. That ballerina looks pretty good.
I don't have anything to critique, just words of encouragement. Keep pushing and be great![]()
I love those subway sketches! The basketball sketches are great too, I think you are great at showing motion as well as balance. Also gotta love the random dinosaurs tossed in with the subway sketches (:

I really love your work you have a really cool animation style and good understanding of what you are doing. thanks for the comment in my sb. looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
I like your tree design and a lot of characters!
Thanks Tim Murphy, Dracken, Neondreams (there are totally dinosaurs on the subway), and Octic.
Still workin on the potluck painting- in the mean time, here's some pen sketches![]()
some scribbly pencil trees, and some more bic pen scribbles
you're awesome. that frog animation put a huge smile on my face.
Going through your sketchbook inspiring. I like all your work, but post #320 literally had me lol. Can't wait to see the update.
