deus ex machina powered by the the unisex steam machine

    fresh sketchbook_

    mmmmmm... boooob studies
I'ts been a while since I painted an (almost)full nude with PS. Had some hard times with the hands and the belly. I'm pretty much pleased how the stomach came out, because I didn't hope to form and color it like this(ego bhaooow!) ..but the hands are pretty fucked up, I only reached so little of the shape and tonality, though I had always sucked when it comes to hands, so I'm alright! "more hand studies bro! no bullshittin' around this time!!"

I really like this piece. The contrast of the red hair and the pale skin really works well in an eerie sort of way. Her right breast looks off a wee bit, however. I think the nipple should be more of a side-on view (it seems to angled towards the viewer). Other than that however, in my humble opinion, it's fantastic. Eerie, beautiful, sexy, Love it.
    G'job.

@Osau - yea, the nipple is a bit in a wrong place and they're also in different sizes, but they did not exactly scratch my eyes, so I leaved them be. Thanks a lot for this practical advisement!

it appears that red hair has been lately added to my fetish list.. oh my

so here's another one.. please give guideline for better colouring and brushes in PS. thanks

MAXIMAbot .. maxima is a small chop-chain co in Baltic countries, Lithuania's maybe?! So I was reading a book, Dostojevski's "Märkmeid surnud majast"(fckin awesome piece!!), it's the first published book about russian forced labour prisons in Siberia. Read it for a while and next I was dying for foodz, so I fixed a sandwich.. after that I was too bored about everything, so I thought that.. oh what the hell, let's full around with digital colors.. the book with high prison security and forced labour was still in my head.. so I did MAXIMABOT ..bot who is securing our MAXIMA marts, making sure we all will take a look at the best before over time foodz too !!

did this in one sitting (so glad for it!! ) 00:00 - 4:00 AM

    KANAROBOT | juggernaut AOA

found out that, I feel most comfortable painting robo's, need no references and it makes my pancreas twikle ...so anyways the arms came out a big mess. Didn't really have any idea of something explicit, that why one arm is looking like a concrete syringe and the other like a heavy weight eggbeater. I'm done with this, lost the lust to finish it up.
    advices ?

(btw it looks like a giant broilerbot) XDD

If that was done on a canvas and hanging in a gallery it would sell just like that.

went to Istanbul, an in a bad ass comic book I had a chance to buy my first moleskine (woop!). And I was so busy with counting and calculating money courses from kroons to liras(I'm really bad at math)(reallyreally).. and I picked a note book instead of a sketch book.. dummdidumdumdummm! That mean the paper is too thin and the first drawings are getting pretty blurry. But what the heck, It's not conna be my last sb..

    cheers!

I love your pencil lines! So jealous. The shading is exceptional.

Your colors seem a little muddy, maybe try adding so more contrast.

Great work though, thanks for posting!

congadingsda, thanks for dropping by my sketchbook, and thanks for the words of encouragement! i just browsed through both of your sketchbooks and i just wanted to say that there is some really great stuff here. your pencils are phenomenal and some of those paintings are amazing. that little girl is hauntingingly beautiful, well done. your PS paintings are coming along as well, but your stuff on canvas is def the tops. wish i could offer some advice or critique but alas, i am not qualified. oh one last thing, i really like the design aspect to some of your pieces, i will look to see whether you persue that further in the future. cheers.

yea, the colors are muddy! Also I have the same dilemma with my oils, but I have come to conclusion that I will not push myself stressing with pure colors (you know the classical, academical painting rules, that you can't mix more than two color together or two can't mix cool and ward colors). My goal is to learn how to get along with muddy colors and how to make them work! Cuz I know it's possible and I think it is the to my own personal ways and approach to value and shape techniques. Thank you!

could someone please tell me how I'll get to the result were my skin tones don't look so bland and dull. I have dried different brushes and more fresher colors, but then the result is so ugly and out of form. I would like that the skin looks real contrasted, but when I try to put real light and dark tones together, then even more awful The big questing is, how to make skin look more contrasted and shapely, without having those ruff edges. Maybe I use wrong colors and maybe yes, I should not mix warm and cold colors together. How you guys are managing this?
