Devere， personally I think you need to be good at one thing first then develop to different area, it is natural process about the drawing. About study you do need to draw simple as that more you draw better you will get and there is no short cut

MarcSampson, I use reference and draw a lot of realistic character eventually I develop my own one

really don't have time to clean up my arts for stormrise but I will try to post more soon

Just a question, how long does it take you to do those initial line drawings and what pen/pencil do you use do it?
