    AG's Sketchbook

Hello everyone, I'm Andrei. I am currently an art student in San Francisco, working my way towards working as a concept artist in the game industry.
I'll be posting all sorts of my art here (doodles, sketches, work in progress, finished work, etc). Please, feel free to critique and give suggestions.

    Impressive!

The skull headed bodybuilder looks kinda shallow and flat though.

    Very nice start!

i like your painting method on the venom and joker pieces and great twisted character pencils, try to paint some more like you did on venom and make sure you pay attention to proportions because sometimes your characters seem to short.

    keep it up

The new creature looks nice but try to add more colours. I think it'd do wonders.

Currently it looks a bit boring in terms of colours.

    Keep it up.

Okay, I'll add more colors. Thanks. I always seem to have trouble with that. Always not sure what kind of colors to use or add.
What kind of colors would you reccomend?

That Rorschach portrait is badass, so is the one below it, but I had to look twice with the Rorschach one. Very well done on that one! I love the warped figures from your earlier posts. Very cool stuff. Will be checking back in soon! Keep going dude!

Peetaer, thank you. Your comment made my day

I'm not sure if I should post this, but here's the first Rorschach painting I started, but started to hate it and stopped.
And here's a sketch for a character, Took around 1hr.

twoAsix, thank you I will keep that in mind.

It's been a while since I've updated (really need to do it more often), but here are some recent art.
Don't bash my environments (too much), I almost never drew them before and know that I need more work.

    Now, critique away
(paint overs are very much appreciated, too :]

    Yay, updates!

I like your stylised black and white sketches, I love the texture they have. I'm also a fan of ol' lightbulb crotch up there

I think your environments would be better if you used a larger brush.. but that's all the advice I can give seeing as I struggle with environments a lot myself, especially interiors

    Keep it up!

Great stuff man. I particularly like your portraits. Although that Rorscash (sp) one is amazing, and that subzero one early on is pretty fucking fantastic as well.
    Peace

FightingSeraph, I will for sure. Thanks. As soon as I finish a very important commission I will continue with the sci-fi concepts. They are tons of fun to do.

    danlambert, thanks a lot!

These two are fantastic. I love their faces. I'd put them on my wall. Are they your own characters? You have some cool armour concepts going on too. I remember your swamp creature from another thread.

The recent armor characters looks baaaaad - in a really kick ass way! It's very unique as I haven't come across this kind of style. and I dig!
