On a side note, I feel bad for the republicans right now (sorry dad). If Rush is the best thing they've got for a leader, that says a lot about the party's well being as a whole. Im not assuming they all support him, i don't doubt that some hate Rush, as well as bush for putting them where they are, but it isn't looking good.
Having Rush as the face of the party is like settling for the ugliest girl in school to go to prom with, because no one else will go with you. Sorry if that analogy hits home for anyone, it's the best i could think of.
