Since the fine art world is out of control from a long time ago, My point is:
¿Did her parents know that the oil paintings are very very toxic to touch them with bare hands?

jessibean that's what i was thinking. who names all of her paintings? i dont think she does...

also, to be a contemporary painter, dont you need to know why you are a contemporary painter? what is the girl trying to "say" with her art.

    Two Questions:
Did she kiss the canvas in the Aelita at work video?
Was that flake white she was working with and kissing?

If the answer is yes to both questions, I believe this problem will work itself out

Bleh... hype + media + ????? = profit. It seems like her parents are just exploiting her for some quick moneys.

Blame the art collectors. They're the ones who mindlessly fuel and encourage this stuff. I doubt if any real established gallery is throwing money behind that.

    Meh...

    Marketing > art

Where one person sees a sun-flares and a stupid horse I see a bunch of paint randomly thrown in. By that account, the tiles in my bathroom are just full of abstract artwork.

EDIT: As a side note, whichever art critic decided that those paintings should cost $2000 a piece just lost any credibility they ever had.

It will be interesting to read into the minds of people who would buy that painting.

I like to imagine that abstract art was drawn on rough/uneven surfaces... maybe the next piece should be drawn from behind the canvas altogether to see how that turns out. My suggestion is not from my lack of interest in this one but just an idea for the next.

    bah.

Put these on white paper and they look like every other 2 year old's paintings.

Give the kid a colored surface, and a limited palette, of course it's going to look good.

Well, atleast she's not completely trashing a subwaycar while a friend films it and calls it art and gets support from the art-academy, like here in Sweden.

Oh and it is obviously her parents that put her up to this and uses her to make money.
