I really like what you have done with the planet and the head/helmet a lot. I have a slight problem with the all the elements not quite coming together as a unity. But what the hell, this is imagined with real spirit and anergy and with some lovely painting.
I'm looking forward to seeing some more.

Looks great! The face really fits the image.![]()
it feels like this is half way between a montage and a more naturalistic piece, which is fine, but it feels a bit chaotic.
Tonally it's a bit confusing of an image, but I think that with more care in your brushstrokes and surface qualities, that could be a stylistic asset.
Good work and keep pushing.

Frank Stockton: I agree with your statement about it being chaotic; it is an illustration for a book cover, so what you are seeing is front, spine and back as one big image...I gave myself the challenge of making it work as one Illustration, and making the back and front look good by themselves...
Furitsu: Thank you very much, I spent a lot of time developing the character: little kid in bug spaceman suit
Chris Bennett: Thank you, and I agree with the whole unity thing, but it was hard considering the wraparound book situation
