This is a set of eating-ware that is made for the first interplanetary travelers from Earth. It is made of stainless steel to be easily sterilized without precious water. This set has an integrated gravitational unit in each of the pieces in order to keep the food from flying off your plate in space and on low g. planets. The units can be switched off to save power, and the cutlery (knives, forks and spoon, or spoon and chopsticks) clip into the holders on either side of the plate in this situation. (The knobs on the ends keep them from slipping out.) The cup can be clipped onto the plate so it can be let go of while eating, has a lid with attached straw that keeps liquids from being knocked out. When the cutlery is clipped in, cup attached and power off, the whole set can be attached to a belt and moved as one piece.

The closeup is a view from the bottom of the plate showing some of the mech, and tech, and a miniature of the same is what is used with the cup. All cutlery have smaller units in the handles.

    Pitcher, fountain, bowl, glasses.

This is a middle class atlantean family crockery set, nobility and higher class would have way more luxury in their disegns, and more pieces.

Small note on this round as usual:

Again, not many entries.. But, I think all three of them look great, so quality-wise I can't complain. Kuddos for everyone who finished something for this round!

    Now go vote and crit!

It was hard to decide--each one turned out great and has it's own worth that can't really be compared with the others. They all make sense for the places they are meant to be used in, i can believe they could exist because of their well thought out and executed designs.
Pixie Trick-- i like your idea a lot. i think you've got a great solution to gravity problems.i think that making the pieces plain and smooth on the surface was a good way to go,they are obviously complicated on the insides and the outside just needed to be functional, really.
Noche--very beautiful, for just middle class at that. love to see what higher classes would get! What i like is how there is a nice sense of light on your objects( i like the little bits of shiny) also i like how each has its own unique shape but is easily identified as part of the group.
Sorknes-- i really have to learn to draw as fast as you. i started i think the day this topic was posted, and i barely even got passed throwing some color on.Points for that alone. These really feel like they belong in a tavern.. i can hear the drunken singing... and i absolutely love the idea of interchangeable designs. i kind of want to own those, really.

well you can tell by the voting this was close. Like the boss said, all three were nicely done and it was hard to choose. If I wrote crits, you could copy most of what riotorange said cause I would say almost the same.
But I picked noche, because I like the octopus styling and the pallette mostly.

Voted for noche, because the octopus theme and the clever combination of metals caught my eye every time I scrolled past.
If it is worth doing, it is worth doing well.

Nice work all round - I voted for Noche mostly because of the rendering and details.
It must be hard being creative for topics like this - I will try one next time.
