I like the pose of the pencil couple you did. Most of your faces lack a certain realism to me, because of shallow shadows and missing facial bones/structures, but you are on a good way. Try drawing a face in harsh lighting.

hi Kymoart - my first thought is - some solid things and humbly suggest you think much more about proportion ( getting shapes right - whether it's on a face or body ) and then work on volumes and value ( how things then become more 3-d on a piece of paper/canvas/computer screen.. do you have chances to draw from real life where you live ( models at workshops ? ) that is the way to truly develop your eye ( I believe).. sketchbooks from the brain are good and useful but drawing real people when they are right in front of you - is best! hope this is useful! - kevin

The embracing couple and the wooden (?) mannequin are lovely. I'd echo what kevinwueste said about doing as much drawing from life as possible, especially if you're seeking comments.

    very good start, fine penciling
you are able to do some really beautiful rendering/shading

if you want to draw from mind , you sure have already a great advantage.

one advice: draw from life as much as you can and think 3D (imagine the structure of subjects from varied angle )

keep posting and thanks for stopping by my sb

    Hi kymoart!
You have a nice start to build upon. I'd like to give you some critique on the dragon piece, mostly about the colours. I see that you've tried to work with shadows and highlights, and I'd say that you should push those further. The dragon looks quite flat in some areas, like the wings and on most of the left side, try increasing the contrast in photoshop (or what tool your working with). Also the dragon's tail is disappearing into the background. Never forget your lightsources, here you got one from below, a volcano? And one it seems from behind/right?
Avoid white when highlighting. Instead, use a lighter colour of the base colour. The same goes for shadows, they are almost never black. Look around you, I see shadows of brown, blue, green and purple. Experiment!
Also I'd set for a cold colour inte the background, like blue, to bring out the main object of the piece- the dragon.
The mountains looks really flat, take a look at some photos of real montains, study how the light falls, what gives them dimension etc. It's never bad to look up references, one can't have the whole world in mind. Right?
I like the pose of the dragon, it's dynamical. Give it justice with the colouring as well.

Thanks Vloth for giving your critique.

I aproached the dragon in another way using more references from nature.
its not yet finished but hey its a sketchbook.
