an addendum to part 6 of the tutorial:

the reason that the lines are angled like that is because each fully saturated color has a given grayscale value, so each color will also have a set of associated grayscale values and thus the slices (the angles of the lines) will be different for each color. Arthur Pope and Munsell each studied this and came out with their own ways to describe this phenomenon (the Munsell "color tree" and the Pope "tone solid", taken from Briggsy's page). understanding this has helped me IMMENSELY with working in color; i highly recommend checking this out if you get a chance. i'll put up a thorough explanation when i have time. peace everybody!

I´m Spechless. The sliders and how they are related to the color theory is pure gold here.

This is fantastic, thanks a lot for the translation!

I recently stumbled myself with the Brightness issue on diagram 6. Now I understand why. So, if I need to find the value brightness of a color compared to another, what would be the "right" and reliable way to do it? Converting to grayscale for comparison is a lot of work.

I don't get the idea of first picture, there's shown a small portion of value, but the picture examples have much wider value range. What's the idea?

I learned some valuable things I think.

I'll scope out Linran's tut too, just to thank him/her.

The next intense light, or the next light on the palette...ive been plaing with these things now and....im confused. the other rules seem to play out fine. but Im struggling with that one....sry Im a total noob when it comes to color and stuff^^
