    quick 'n' dirty doodles

    hi all,
    meant to start a thread ages ago,...finally getting round to it now!ha

    hoping i can do a doodle a day,....get some nice characters,maybe turn em into puurrrddyy 3d models ,

    downloaded some of the p/shop brushes from a thread on this site....had a little play....awesome fun...gonna have to have a go at making some nice ones.

    I like the monsters they have great character and u've obviously got skills in Photoshop. keep it up and lets see more

    Those landscapes are nicely rendered, and all the characters have a lot of personality. You could try to combine these two things, to see what happens. For example, some narrative illustration or so.

    Anyway, nice start to a sketchbook! keep it up!

    A painting i did over last xmas break, 2-3 hours each day over a week. Acrylic paints on board,...about 50-60 cm wide i think.

    came up with a cool way to get ideas for what to draw, works for me. Take an existing image, play with the cutout filter, basically simplify image with the cutout filter untill you 'see' something, accept and sketch over the result of the filter .

    Im really diggin your latest batch of sketches. I feel that when it comes to the finished piece a lot of the life and gesture from your sketches are missing. Try to push for more line quality in the cleanup stage.
