had a play with those brushes again...so cool, thanks to the people that offered them up.
heres my 2nd attempt....
todays play...no more abusing brushes on landscapes after this, want to get some more characters done
Those landscapes are nicely rendered, and all the characters have a lot of personality. You could try to combine these two things, to see what happens. For example, some narrative illustration or so.
Anyway, nice start to a sketchbook! keep it up!
Wonderful landscapes! Make some lanscape more in 3D! would look mighty.
Abrodos:thanks,yeah i'll give that a try
Kalim:haha, you know how long it takes to make a 3d scene with lotsa foliage....too long,if i came up with an interesting environment then i'll have a go at it

Hi all,
loooonnngggg time no post, found and scanned in tons of doodles from various notebooks etc.
Going to try and be more active on these forums so hopefully should post more often.
thanks for looking
A painting i did over last xmas break, 2-3 hours each day over a week. Acrylic paints on board,...about 50-60 cm wide i think.
should of kept more progress photos while i was painting, lesson learnt for next time![]()
came up with a cool way to get ideas for what to draw, works for me. Take an existing image, play with the cutout filter, basically simplify image with the cutout filter untill you 'see' something, accept and sketch over the result of the filter.
speedpaint,20mins i think
penguin sketch using same 'cut out filter' technique i explain above.
Character concepts for a potential ios game im coming up with, thanks for looking
free willY!
Im really diggin your latest batch of sketches. I feel that when it comes to the finished piece a lot of the life and gesture from your sketches are missing. Try to push for more line quality in the cleanup stage.
