hey man, thanks for stopping by my SB again. these pen drawings of yours are great! good shapes going on. and the charcoals have some really beautiful rhythms in them too.

i'm still hoping to go visit my cousin in SF sometime. i'll let you know if that happens.

you mentioned coming down to SoCal before. lemme know if you come down here and we can go draw or shoot the breeze.

Matt - thanks man! i work on it - so much to learn here too!
Sandeep, Omerta, ZwiDee - thank you - Omerta - thanks for saying that - I try.. working on the rhythm and design but I forget.. ach!
Khan, Avis and Elf - thank you all - I get to enjoy your work as well ( I learn as much seeing others' work on CA !!) - Avis - love the Beredregal drawings!
MacTire - thanks!!! I looked at your work and it's great to see your desire to develop coming through your hard work ( I am the same way - but feel lazy looking at your work!) - i particularly liked post # 27 on March 22nd, 2009, 05:11 PM with the girls - they are just .. well designed and while it's good to see the bridgman stuff ( and loomis ?) later - these are a highpoint of your work so far IMHO - BECAUSe of the good design of the shapes and anatomy coming through. Check out Hope Railey in the figure drawing section of this site to see what I mean more and Glen Orbik on the web for more ( not that you asked.. sorry to ramble -!!!)
    Mydrako - thanks!
Frank - thanks for your thoughts man - always cool to hear from!
BiggJoee - thank you - you are on your way ( i took a look!) - keep up the work.. do your bridgman and loomis and vanderpoel and make sure you draw from real, live models if at all possible !!!! keep up the good work! I'm only at this about 2 years and only hope to go UP from here.. so you can too!
Chris - I'm in Agoura every tues for Glen's class - come up one time for that or any time you're in SF.. drop me a note - i'll send you my email address
Ledd - I like the Gorilla - nice volumes - keep up the practice and draw from life if you can ( see above thoughts, they apply to your work as well - I mean - if you want!).. get your Loomis, Bridgman and Vanderpoel books.. Frazetta.. Wrightson, Rockwell, McGinnis, Tony Ryder, Robert Barrett, Henry Yan..check out Chris Sears amazing work on this site.. Kevin Ferrarra.. so many amazing guys.. oh MIke Butkus
(sorry might be spelling that wrong).. and definitely check out Hope Railey.. all those "guys" ( gals)..

some new quick figures and a digital portrait..

mostly quick 5-10 minute works and a few 20's in there I think.. the digital painting was just for practice.. a WIP if anyone is interested at the bottom.. you probably all know so much more than me about Painter and PS.. so much to learn!
