    Looking for anatomical help

So I finally got around to drawing something with a winter theme. I'm not finished with the background, but before I started on it, I wanted to make sure the characters themselves were okay.

Mostly, I'm not sure if their heads and faces look right. What do you all think? Name: snowballsm.png

    First off nice job!
Her faces arent bad at all, maybe the dark haired girls chin is a bit pointy wich is not very feminine but its no big deal.
However you should be more careful with their necks, they have not the same size/shape than what their collar or scarf indicate.
Also i noticed the blonde's right hand is missing some joints.
Two last things, maybe add a few trees in the distance just for a lil more depth and also a horizon, i cant really argue why but it seems to me that the image begs for something horizontal in the background.
Oh and i would add a couple of folds on the blondes jumper on the side where its lifted up.
    I think thats all.

SM hit it on the nail, the back of your necks, especially the blonde one, is too wide - follow those lines down.

Very nice! The color, the concept, the style ... all blend nicely. I like the simple yet playful feel of it.

    Thanks for the help, guys!

Okay, I went back and added a few more trees in the background, fixed their necks, added clouds, and I gave the brunette an ear.

I may tinker with the background a little more. Right now, I'm about to start shading the characters. Up to now, I've only colored characters with one main light source, and since it's cloudy in the picture, the light's going to be somewhat different. How would I go about shading this way?
