'yet to find a name' ssg challenge #02

Hey guys, Walid told me to post my challenge this week so here it is.

i'd like to see everyone take a minimum of 3 non visual sources, develop those three through thumbnails etc, then push your favourite into a finished (as you can) piece.

id like to see everyone focus on the story/meaning/atmosphere behind the image, and really try to show pass that on to the audeince

hopefully this challenge will give you a chance to really push all of your skills to there max, then in a few weeks/months/years you can look back and say that was the best i could do then, and this is now.

i'll give a couple of examples to show what i mean

so i can take from the song, that the devils island is some kind of execution place, i could either go with a painting of the enviroment, or perhaps the scene of the man walking to his execution.

(sorry im really tired i cant make myself carry on, only had 4 hours of sleep, if you get any questions ask, or just guess have fun, challenge yourself criticaly think and learn )

Cool idea, should be epic fun. Are you allowed to draw a character from a book or a play? And are you allowed to do a few different things off of the same lyric or whatever?

yeah you can do almost what you'd like, only it has to be a full standalone work, not just a character design, and you have to have some goal for it to try and furfill

Thinking about this, I feel that you are asking us too much. For example, most of us in the ssg are still getting to grips of drawing what we see, but you are basically asking us to make up a whole world from imagination. I know that I am probably not going to do this as it is asking of me far too much. Maybe a still life would have been a better task?
