I like your work alot. It has been interesting to watch these 14 pages since its the first time i see them - and it good to see you evolve.

I definately like your self portraits the most. They are really good. Also your anatomy is good.

But i like your productiveness alot - i wish i had that encouragement.

Nice one. Front guy's sleeve looks like it's got a lot of starch in it, but it's detail criticism. Good show, and i'm glad you're doing well

Mark: Aw, I've always watched your work! I feel quite honored you're dropping y message here I'll definetly keep working on edges and textures, thanks for the advice

witcrack: Thank you, I hardly produce something finishes, so I always tend to measure my skills at the studies I'm doing

Farvus: I watched that matter last week when drawing from imagination with what you said in mind, and you're right! Even when I want to draw forshortened forms the best thing I get is a 3/4 view that shows everylimb as little forshortned as possible. It really didn'T stand out to me before that much, so thanks a bunch for pointing that out! I'll work on that a lot more now

Scope: If you wish you were that productive there's really nothing to stop you. You only have to want it bad enough, that's my drive every time I sit down to draw. And I'm still not even as productive as I could be. I feel pretty damn lazy

walnut: ah, I see get point with the sleeve! thanks

    Shuty: Thank you

Sooo, here's another finished piece! I'm working on that one since June when I attended the workshop "Becoming a better Artist" by Robert Chang. It's been an awesome experience and I can really recommend that workshop to everyone who's just started out or doesn't know where he wants to go with his work. It really gave me the right direction that I can follow now. So that was the final piece for the workshop. It's also a birthday gift for a very good friend.
So I hope you like it More sketches later, as I got 10 days holidays now I can draw a little more as usual, hope I'll keep doing it and don't be super lazy

Amazing image Avis, really nice composition and great subtle use of colour. i really like the way you've done the snow, and the lost edges really give it some realism, a really professional image, you've definitely been stepping it up recently. Looking forward to more finished images!!

Is that a play on Andersen's "Girl with the matchsticks"? Pretty impressive. I'm only wondering if there might not be a liiiittle more warm light on the girl to tie it all together. And less detail in the BG. But that's just my aversion to detail talking.

Great job on that last piece.Love how u used that "light in the Darkness" thing in two ways.
1-the actual light of the man trying to light up his smoke.
2-the hope of the girl as she sees the man coming by her.
Again great job!Hope i can keep up.You make me want to draw huge amounts,so thanks

dan: Thank youuu I planned to get at least 4 finished images done this year, maybe some more
andres, smoreyjinza, Ven S, Gildorek: thanks
lancer: I didn't really notice I was gone, but thanks
Fallen: IOW ftw but I think this week I'll have to do a Chow... aweeesome topic

So here's what I've been working on the last two weeks. Almost no studies, only gestures that go to the trash right away XD (Honestly, I don't store them anyway...) I'll scan some soon

So here's the IoW_#3! Vote if you like it

It's really nice, you painted her really nicely, although I have a few critics.

I don't like that much the guy, I don't like to much his face, not that it's badly done, I think he doesn't have the sadness + the anger of loosing her, it's more like he's sad, or even tired.

The other critic is the sky, I don't know I think you could have done something a little better.

But these two critics doesn't change the fact that you're doing some reaaally nice stuff, plus you're getting better each day

Awesome piece Avis I love it!! Left you a vote

Btw about the age thing you posted about a little while back, I'm a few years older than you and I'm always feeling really down about my lack of skill- so I know how you feel/felt. But you're really amazing- lot's better than me- so you shouldn't feel so bad about it!! I've been following your sketchbook for a while and love to see your progress.

Incredible illustrations Avis!! As I said in the daggers stream I'm incredibly jealous of your skill!!

One tiny point I will make about the IOW piece, I think the lighting of her brow ridge / eye sockets might be a little too strong given that she is somewhat in the shadow of the knight so the main light source (assumed as the heavenly glow?) is weakened but also due to the general light fall off that would occur on a face (only inverted here where the chin is most lit and less light reaches the forehead).

Anyway, you're really producing some stunning pieces!! Keep up the great work!!

Awesome work avi your IoW entry came out great.

I know we brought up the angle / anatomy of the head in Sam's livestream, i feel that in your WIP 1 and 2 the head is at the right angle. Also with the flags and material blowing n the wind, maybe his hair should have suggested a bit of that too.

But still the images is AMAZINGLY rendered, very well done....i shall proceed to the voting booth ....Again great work in your sketchbook here, keep it up

oh snap. you definitely deserve the IoW-- so congrats! would have definitely voted for you but i haven't paid too much attention to the weekly activites xD anyway, I'm very proud of you. the illustration seems to hold true to the emotion and story you were attempting to convey.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry for not posting, I'm super busy this month working on a few more illustrations (That I unfortunately can't show before the release...)
So I scanned a few pages of my sketchbook. Funny thing is, that sketchbook is already filled to the half and I didn't scan in a single page yet Currently I manage to fill a sketchbook with about 200 pages in a months... I should buy some in stock D: )

    Pkmike: thank you
Mark: thank you In fact I wanted him to show a more subtle emotion, and make him look like regretting, being tired and giving up. But I think I get the point
Dreoilin: I liked your piece too, you got such a nice illustrative style that's really appealing. Yo you shouldn't feel bad either At least we can act as though we were wiser or something... or better not. Anyways, thanks a lot for your kind words!
Mac: Oh, really no need for jealousy, it's just the product of lots of work, and that's what you're doing to, so it's just a matter of time
And you're actually right about the lighting issue, I had my doubts about that too, but then I wanted to make her face pop a little more, so I decided against logic. Not sure if it was the right decision...
    Sam: You're awesome
Dan: Haha, I'm already working on number 4, and it even looks like I can manage to finish 5
Prßx-e Thank you, good points too, I regularly make stuff blowing in the wind while ignoring others D:
p sage: Haha, I want it to stay there for just a little longer, there's sooooo much more to learn D:
    teapo: thank you
Fallen: Ah, I missed these too But hopefully there'll be more cool themes in the future when I got more time again. (And I'm really testing my *finish stuff in time* skills now )
Snyder: Hm. Immer schön dran bleiben, und alles ist logisch. Wenn man versteht WARUM etwas ist wie es ist, dann kann man es sich auch merken
    Vritra: Aw, thanks
    Ametist: Thank you
    Wassim: Thanks

Phew... that was a lot to write. Back to work now, Cheers! You rock

    So here's my cover
