Voted for pixeltuner and Mock. Completely understand being cut. Present was done in a few hours as was past. I thought I should finish but hadn't given myself the time. I'll do my best to make up for it on the round table chow!
PIXELTUNER - love the idea of three ghosts waiting at the bus stop - the image of souls in the red of the "death" figures robe. Enjoy how i'ts all linked.
FUNKAFIDE - The way you've presented them, really works. It's a really well balanced work, and you've stayed true to the story.
TOMMOY - I like the idea of the three zombies of xmas, but a little too spooky for me and her jump doesn't make sense to me. Good work, though.
MOCK - Especially the two on the left are really amiable and wonderful in colors as they stand very much in unison, their head turned w. eyes up, the same way. The last character a little too dark and dissapears, I think. Overall, I really like it. Nice details on the embroidery, belt etc.
MJ ALCAZAR - The green lady is beautiful and especially the face of the little light character (xmas past) works really well for me. Not sure why you add shadows the way you do.
PUPPYKITTEN - Wonderful! And so glad you didn't add a lot of extra stuff. It stays airy and magical, this way. I hope the nerve in your neck will be okay soon.
IIKII My Favorite is the lady with the floating legs in an upside down world. It's the pixie like message, that I'm drawn to. The colors are very intense, though, especially the green. The last ghost, that plays the glowing harp strongs, is also a cool idea.
CROWSROCK - Adding goblin like creatures is a fun idea. Gives an impression of more going on, than just visiting Scrooge. You've captured the androgynous vibe very well and created a truly bright character.
SCORGE - Love the details most of all. The icicles on the green leaves. The glowing clocks, the many hands.... A very special eerie light on the whole thing, which makes the colors doubly important. Very much part of the mood.
SHANNANIGAN - At first glance a fun idea, making them very human and approachable. At second glance, I'm impressed with the details of the hem of the cloak, the plaid of her dress etc.
SOUTHERN - Really enjoy your idea and gumshoe of carrying it out. This is so different and very imaginative. A lot of electrical light effects. Fun characters.
SPAZTASTIC - You are really good at creating from photo, which I imagine you must have done. I'm impressed with the faces, the feet, and coming so far with this, because you had a lot of work to do, last minute. Fun idea, too.
JEREMY HOFFMAN - Not only does it make me giggle, grin and laugh... it's just really good. I also enjoy the details very much. That pompom on his head and his knitted Norwegian cape... The stockings on her, the watch... And a good background setting. You know it's good quality art too, right?
Really great work...........congrats to all.....
My votes are in equality for:
PuppyKitten: I know it's not finished as you would like it to be..........but if your "rough" work is like this......I keep imagining how is your "final".........:] really great....
Southern: The paint and composition are great......but what really outstands from the others is the concept........a really well-thought concept.....
Jeremy Hoffman: The style and atmosphere are just perfect......awesome work on light and shadow.......Wish I could creat such mood.........
Daestwen: thanks for the advices........it really turned out pretty rough.......much more than I thought it would be......that's why I totally understand why not going to poll was fair enough.....I'll try your advice about cleaning the background...
PuppyKitten: that was really my intention......to make them creep but in a not so serious way.......thanks for comment....

Ugg... so hard to choose! I admit I gravitate towards the comedic so I'm sure you can guess my favorites! LOL!
Pixeltuner - Aside from the obvious skill in this, the future Ghost in particular is beautifully executed! I love Future's bunny and Yo-Yo. Hilariously unexpected... my kinda art!
Spaztastic - The faces and hands are really amazing... and Emo Future is yacking in the Snuffer. Whats not to love?
Jeremy Hoffman - I did it for the pom-pom... LOL!
Thank You! That is exactly what I was going for... so I'm glad thats the mood it gives off to others...
Thanks! I like to add super subtle secret details.... because you have to take a 2nd, 3rd, etc. look to find them all. Its my Where's Waldo Effect... LOL!

hmm. I know I cant be part of the threads as much as I'd like to but I hope thats not the reason I wasnt included in the voting.
And I would like to apologize for the lack of wip's. I hadn't any idea they were to be included.

damn, MEMPER, It was supposed to be. Give me five minutes and I'll fix it, and throw a few complimentary votes your way. Sorry about that. :/
EDIT: Okay, you've been added to the poll and I gave you five votes. Again, apologies, there's a bunch of steps to making the poll and your image got left behind during one of them.
If Anyone Who Has Already Voted Would Like To Add A Vote For MEMPER, Please PM Me.
Thanks!

I think he's going to win.
The people have spoken, and they have chosen an adorable Mr. Death man with a pom-pom over three deformed girls in ugly outfits with no proper bg.![]()

now now Puppy at least you have more than 5 votes, Hoff is only leading you by 1 vote so cheer up. Venger again thank you I have been trying to fix the lighting on that piece of mine, seeing as I used so many different refs with different lighting it's a little harder than I imagined, and I like the anatomy of the PO you did too, I knew something was off I just couldn't pinpoint it. So thank you I shall go work on those.

So few entries for such a great topic....but all in all a beautiful round.
My Votes :
Pixel Tuner: I remember first seeing your work in the Deep, and I've been hooked ever since. Your colors and sense of character are wonderful and I look forward to what you'll do next. I especially love the future. But then again, who doesn't?![]()
PuppyKitten: First of all thank you for the comment. Can't seem to get enough of those these days. Secondly, I've never seen your work before and I have to admit I am blown away. Phenomenal would be an understatement. I'm not too sure how I feel about the three little girls thing, but I have a feeling that there's much more to this piece and I applaud you for it. I look forward to your future stuff as well.
Jeremy Hoffman: Liked it since I first saw it, and love it now. So where did you manage to find that personality brush anyway? Great job man.
My almost votes:
Funkdafide: Great job on the lighting and keeping these guys separate but together. Background looks very nice and the past looks awesome. I do think you could have developed the other two a little bit more though.
Tommoy: Definitely dark and frightening. Scrooge would have been crapping himself all night if he had to deal with these three.
Mock: Nice work especially in the costume design. The only issues I have would be the angle of past and presents heads are the same and I would have liked to see more of her face. Future is great.
MJ Alcazar: I have to admit I've been watching your work for a long time now and cannot belive the progress you've made in such a short time. Congrats on being a CA student and I can't wait to see your creations in major publications someday. One thing you might want to focus on is depth and mass. Your characters still have a relatively flat look. Keep up the good work.
Crowsrock: Your story telling ability is very good. Kudos for sticking to the story and composition. Finishing could use work.
K: Each piece is strong in its own right, but there seems to be no connection between them and their purpose. Still, great work.
Shannanigan: I second Puppy's comments and love your style and put- together-ness of the whole thing. Very nice!
Southern: Always been a fan and this is no exception. Love the little details and vibrancy of the colors.
Spaztastic: Good for you getting it in on time and really beautiful job on those expressions. I'm assuming the booze is the spirit reference?
Memper: Terrifying and dark. If they tell this story down in hell, this is what these guys would look like. Good work but a little too off topic.

Voted on Jeremy Hoffman. Really like the characters and the style in them.
Well i am a little disappointed but it inspired me to try harder and be much better at the next chow.
My website : CHOO3D
I voted for Jeremy Hoffman, love the cartoon style and the end look you went with! I like when I look at something and keep finding certain special details...the skull on the top of the cane is awesome and I love the little ribcage. There isnt alot of different things you can do with the death-like figure, but you have managed to express certain parts that work...the other characters are lovely too and the composition of them altogether works nicely. Well done!
well done everyone.
We all go a little mad sometimes
Wraaah, just typed a long reaction for everybody's work and i deleted it all :-(
Sniff, sniff......
Nothing to do about it! So now i'll only going to tell for who i voted and why.
I've choosen in two disciplines: Story and style/technique
Pixeltuner (story) and PuppyKitten (style/technique).
Pixeltuner: I realy like the humor in it and the feeling i get from it. It tells me a little story. Something is happening in the picture. A good combination of the real christmas story and an unusual side story where they landed in. It makes me laugh and wonder.
- Maybe the female ghost should have been standing between the two other ghosts. Now she gets a little bit lost on the side in the composition because of her light colors beside the two dark ghosts and the rest of the light inviroment. Beside that it looks great!
PuppyKitten: This one is looking realy good. Technique is great. And i like the composition and color use. You realy know what you are doing and you can see that, compliments!
- The only thing is that i'm missing the story of the three different ghosts in character. They all look alike, with as a result that you get the same feeling for each different ghost. But beside of that i understand what you ment with youre choice/idea and i liked it.
And for the rest of the creations: Great work! Like the developments i've seen!
Ohw....and thanks for all the cool reactions.
Too bad my color fillin was not as i had in plan :-(. Maybe i prefered the black/white version. Next time i will do better in that.
Jeremy: People are already calling you The Hoff, maybe you should get a David Hasselhoff avatarI'd be happy to make one for you tomorrow :p

Thank you! That's a sweet compliment.
The faces, hm? The noses, mouths, and face shapes are the same as I always draw them...
BUT in an attempt to get away from my anime roots I've been making the eyes thin instead of tall/round (I've been doing that more and more lately) and I have to say I have been happy with the results.
Could that be it? If the eyes can make that big of a difference, then I am totally going to develop my technique on them more. Skintones too (coloring skin is my favorite part)
And no reference. I never use it and I really should start learning how. I've definitely hit my limit of what I can realistically render from imagination.![]()

Voted for:
Tommoy, MJAlcazar, Puppykitten (bit of a Mark Ryden vibe here), Jeremy Hoffman and Memper. Could have given one for all of 'em though! Great stuff!
Goodness knows what Dickens would have made of these!![]()
Pixelturner and Puppykitten, because Pixelturners is just awesome and women with horns is a fetish (and it's awesome!)

Voted for Southern and Southern only. Guess people were busy with the holidays!
Like:
- The lack of gender in 2 of them (maybe I just don't know my lore here, but I kind of expect ghosts of time, not people, to be unnerving, not sexy/beautiful/entertaining)
- The inclusion of a bit of modern technology (it's all very well keeping Past ghosty all ancient, but it makes sense for Present/Future to have something hinting past that)
Seriously though, Puppykitten, your piece creeps me out. Why are the 2 underdeveloped ghosts touching up that younger one? That Past and Future are both older than Present also confuses me. Shouldn't an older woman (or at least a fully developed woman, in face/body as well as chest) be part of this?
...Maybe it's just because small children scare me.
And Duckyfeets1; shame you didn't make the cut, the glittery is a little annoying, but the lineart was nice (maybe you should try a black and white piece), and I think it makes sense for Past to be nude.
Underdeveloped? They both have nice-sized breasts. Not every woman is a DD cup.
"Touching up that younger one"? They are both forming a protective circle around the younger one. An instinctual need, perhaps, to coddle and protect the sort of nostalgia and tradition we all have in our past Christmases.
And yes, one of them should be significantly older. This failure was in my technical ability. SorryThe one leaning over the youngest (with the largest antlers and most clothing) was meant to be oldest, and I certainly didn't mean for her to come across as child like in any way. I didn't want her to be an old grandma though.
