    Freiza/Dragon Ball Illustration

This an image I wanted to do for a personal chance, I wanted to see this character like a Hellboy movie character.

Is done on Zbrush for modelling background and character and rendered on 3dMax, I have use photoshop for compositing and over paint details and effects.

    Redgards!

Pretty damn good, I think maybe his purple things on the body should have been shiny like in the series. Always good to have different textures on a character

    Fantastic rendition of Freeza.
I especially like what you did with the abdominal muscles, rather than just slap on a generic 6-pack.

A cool character. He looks very bad ass, and I must say, you captured the feeling of DBZ the best in the background. It looks really realistic, while staying true to the style. Well done. Would like to see more.

Muy guapo. La textura de la piel ha quedado muy realista. Es una versión "europeizada" del manga, quizá la cara convenciese más si fuese una pizca menos humana, pero en general está fantástico. El fondo muy bueno también.

I have seen this comic when i was so young,I like this bad guy character design,In your new version i really like his phiz rendering and pose design,But i just have little crit:I think the feet looks just alittle bit strange, and the backround it make me feels like this is small model ,like the toy's background,
this is just my little advice, hope can see your more cool stuff~4stars

kickass technique man, some impressive results.
I agree on the crits above, shiny purle parts, feet don't look 100% right)
you should definately make a series of these

That perspective choice combined with the backround makes him look 50 feet tall, not sure if that was intentional or not. Although I like your mature/naturalistic take on freeza I feel like you could have taken more licence with your surface treatment specificaly breaking up the surfaces with more subtle organic imperfectioins that flow with the muscles around the thighs tail and abdomen. I like the praportions but since this is a very comic-esc character i would have made him slightly taller or simply elongated his thighs a little since it is a redesign. Most of the sculptural strength is in the face, neck and clavicle at the momment. Cool take on him though.

Wow I am really speechless, just awesome. One thing which I think could be stronger is the hand. The fingers should be stretched out all the way and the hand straight and not twisted to the outside so it gives a stronger appearence and feeling.
    Other then that, really great!

    haha that's just awesome

If I were to get all nitpicky-fan-boy on you, I'd say that I always pictured a realistic freiza still being short, with a somewhat large head, but very defined. This kinda looks like what freiza would be if he was plopped into 300

But still, great take on the character

Dude, fucking awsome.Nice to see people still have some DBZ on thier minds. I owe my drawing abilities to Akira Toriyama. It was what got me into drawing years ago.

This an absolutely beautiful rendition of Freza. You did a phenominal job on the anatomy and lighting. The face is my favorite; it captures the dark and evil look. The dark wrinkles and pits in the face are magnificent. Seriously, great job.
Altho I agree that a reflective surface on the purple areas would be correct and cool , i also think that the purple areas should remain the way they are because it creates a nice unity with the rest of the matte finish of the skin.

Again, I love it. Very nice.

Very cool. They shoulda got you to do the movie instead whatever travesty they're creating in the Hollywood version. How long did this take you to make by the way?
