    ...Anyway

I'm planning to spend some time on a 'Super Hero' project for the portfolio. This isn't a great update but mostly I'm posting as I work towards getting back into the groove of spending the hours at the drawing board. Just sketching out some ideas at this point. Hope things are well for everybody. - {P.S. Just in case they were missed, I replied to comments in the previous post, Thanks everyone )

Thx for ur comment on my book m8

Love you're work, it has a great unique style, especially the gorillaz in one of you're last posts are really cool. Maybe the hands could use a little bit more volume ?

Also i like a lot how you made those fairies in the fairy-tale image on the previous page totally white, great idea :p

    Grts !

Dang, this monkey thing is amazing hahaha. The characters already have such a nice feel to them. It HAS to get finished. Has to.

Dude, I'm makin' NO money on those models (spending about $300 per project for models/prints)... Hoping some schools come through with a real scholarship once I transfer out - the Presidential one for my current university of 28,000 students is a measly $1,000... That's more like a Janitorial scholarship if you ask me.

Thanks for providing my eyes with something great to look at while I took a break... back to building a model! Oh, starred ya up and added a subscription too!

waw ... nice stuff , interesting stile , that monkeys arms attracted my attention , they look kinda weird , but not monkey weird , like in the 1st shot , looks like a problem with the foreshortening and in the second where he has his both arms up , they look like gigantic , even though they are not as close to the camera , and there is a problem with the foreshortening , cheer m8

Hey Bill, I really love the comics, there's some great compositions in the those frames. Also your hatching is ace. The premise of this latest superhero/monkey comic is pretty entertaining too. Keep it up.

Definetly a very own stlye. The Superheroes still look kinda "dumb" to me at first glance because of your normally small domes. But it is your style and works very well overall. Kudos. I am very anxious to see those SH sketches done over with colors the way the interior paintings were done from two pages back.

    see ya ´round. cheers

great style and characters man. maybe try to vary your line weight. its usually the same all throughout the forms. and maybe try to be a liiiiiiitle more careful with your hatching. i sense some impatience in areas. i only make these two suggestions because im guilty of them as well.

Ian: Thans Man, though the jury's still out on wether I'll ever get to "Rock It" I hope I do sometime.

Jeff: Thanks for taking the time to give a crit. You're very right, these are still rough. As I'm doing them as a series I won't take them to finish until everything is laid out. This'll save me some time if I need to go back and chage something, either by choice or on account of finding drawing problems that need fixed.

speeking of drawing problems.... these will need some more love but I'll set 'em down and come back to them later. Small update but kind'a fun to do so far.

Lookin' good. I like how you've taken the eyes as a separate characteristic and given them their own style, though I think developing them more within each specific character (as the characters themselves continue to develop, of course) will not only solidify their individuality as characters, but further articulate the styling you've applied to the eyes without them being homogenous.

No point in costumes or masks if all their eyes are the same, right?

I'm really excited to see how this turns out!

Hey cool style in here, I like the way you distort faces. Seems like the choices in stylizing the figures could use the same more deliberate pushing though. More!

    Great stuff lately, Bill!

I think I'd echo what IanE said. It's a good crit and could be applied to other features of the face too, as they seem to have the same overall structure.
