    hey mr lake.

Nice updates lately! on the recent batch im curious as to the almost sketchy contour lining on the figures- trying a different approach? the in motion running fella is nice, and its great to see you having a bash at traditional too - with the digital portrait of the female i think the lips are slightly too low, dont forget to flip a lot to keep an eye on these things buddy.

That big figure is coooool although his leading foot seems to be positioned really weird for his pose. Kind of reminds me of hogarth.
Them skulls be weird, really badly made whoever did that, but you have better ref now, it doesnt have the hard perspectives like those but at least they're accurate. Nicely drawn as well
Not quite sure what's going on with the sitting lady underneith, she seems pretty messy compared to most of your more recent stuff, although it looks kind of weird that her nose is rendered, but nothing else on the face.
The shoes are cool, I like the drawn one, although it looks like it should have more darks, it's all very midtoney at the mo. The oil is great, really liking th colours you've got, especially the reflected blue. Crit wise it seems to be lacking and real hard edges, it's all very sketchy, make bringing out a few cleaner edges would make it pop a bit more.
I already commented on the others on skype so yeah, keep it up! woooooo intenseeeeeee.

    Peace nugga

Great sketchbook. I didn't flip through all the 33 pages, but from page 1 on you made huge improvements. Beautiful color use in the portrets in #963.
See you at the zoo on friday.

Awesome, that shoe turned out great, probably your best painting ever I think!
2nd wolf is looking great as well, looking forward to seeing them in context.

Oh, one quick crit with the wolves, their fur seems to be all going in exactly the same direction everywhere, looks slightly unnatural, maybe mix the direction up a bit if you do any more on work on them further?

    You're improving a lot - I like it!
With your pencil sketches (some of them are very nice) you sometimes seem a little .. shy. Try and make stronger lines; bolder lines. You could always erase them when they go really wrong, but I think you'll get the hang of it soon enough. They will make your work even better. (I hope I'm explaining this correctly) Keep going !

Rbeek dude, you are doing studies like a mad man! The hands are my favorite. Keep those up I think your digital painting could use more exploration and experimentation with brush types / shapes and layer types to start to really add some punch to your digi works. The round airbrush / hard brush is pretty limited on what looks you are going to get at the start. If you google search brush sets for different pros you like you can sometimes find really cool brushes you would have never thought of.

Animal studies are really nice too. The character and wolf piece is coming along great. She seems a little off balance though. Maybe try twisting that left shoe out to the left more. Its up to you. Either way keep pushing man.

Thanks all for the crits and comment!

Was busy with preparing and having the exhibit last week , so barely no drawing was done!
That will have to change again

Here is a character composition i did yesterday

And i met with Phade we did quite some paintings and some awsome collaborations. which was a lot of fun!

Ill try to update soon again!

I've got used to seeing cool stuff in your sketchbook, but lately this stuff became even cooler xd This piece with dudes with goofy hats, and flashlights instead of eyes seems to be very promising. I wish you push it farther. I hope you will post soon. Cheers
