Hi there! My name's Anna Fitzpatrick and I'm new to ConceptArt! I've been absolutely blown away by the superb quality of the art around here and I wasn't sure where to start, mostly through nerves!

so I have finally bucked up enough courage to start posting a little bit of my work here

I'm a student of Graphic Design, or Visual Communication in Dublin, Ireland. When I graduate this summer, I hope to work in Concept Art. So I felt here would be a good place to start!

A lot of my work centres around environmental and character painting and design. I love creating an atmosphere.

This piece was created quite recently. It's a design for a location in my own comic "Between Worlds" which I plan to release this summer.


It's a little messy, I'd love to, over time, clean up my work quite a bit.

Thanks all of you! haha, i let it get a little neglected due to many reasons but Im back now with a few more pieces!

Theres a wonderfful balance between line and rendering here that the image below http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1239648656 sadly lacks. Walk back from your images now and again to evaluate how much needs to be done if it need be done at all.

Hello!

Been a good while since Ive been on, and I've been working very hard at cleaning my work up

here are a few bits Ive done since

Whoo! Lovely work hon! I love the cityscape in particular, it has great atmosphere!

A small suggestion for the shop front... I noticed the bottles and trinkets in front of the shop are very evenly spaced. Even if they are supposed to be neatly lined up I think it helps to add some randomness when making details look natural. Maybe have some more overlaps and whatnot. When there's less overlap things tend to look more flat.
