Ok, another entry since a good while:
Turned out a bit Ren & Stimpy-like, which is never a bad thing.

Hehe, I got a bit carried away so the whole food thing isn't really apparent. Still, any critique/tips?
Also, PS doesn't show me the oprion to save as a .jpg anymore. Anyone know what's wrong?
idiot-monarch: the document you're working with is 16-bit res or above. it needs to be 8-bit. also make the perspective fit with the creature and the ground, we should be seeing more of the top right side of the creature with that ground perspective, the skin is looking pretty good.
timmytheturtle: good job on perspective and textures, lower the contrast of the highlights though.
hamorhage: nice glow in the ears for SSS, I would loose the thick dark outline and raise the contrast up a bit on it.
ashton: I love the sketchiness of the creature and the background, try not to make the humans in the corner so flat, give them more volume with value and give them some of the sketchiness.

Mitze: That really is quite wonderful. Those beady black eyes are at once creepy and cute.
Nynthe: thanks. it was supposed to be a small hallway.
Didn't have access to a computer while I was on Thanksgiving vacation.

i must apologize for not making it look obedient. I only realised the small caption after it was painted. Maybe it was one of the pet's bad days?

I loved this concept. I tried a new technique on this one. I incorporated a lot more layers to give me a bit of a reflection. The can was relatively quick because I didn't wanna spend a bunch of time making everything straight, so of course there's room for improvement there. Shadow on the wall needs some work. Maybe a little more of a body for the creature. Also, a can is typically jagged when opened... oh well.

a couple of hours......sorry about the human hands....a bit rough
here's the line art....I did one quick sketch and this is the slightly more refined version tracing over on my light table . ( excess lines and mistakes erased in photoshop / line layers at 50% usually over colour in finals )
