"op zoek naar het gouden potlood" Het valt me nu pas op dat je Nederlands bent XD (ik volg jouw schetsboek al een tijdje)
Volgens mij is dat een toelating voor game design bij de HKU of niet
Heb je inmiddels al het resultaat binnen?

Ik vind de laatste echt heel goed gerenderd :> Mooie kleuren voor de huid ook

I really, really love your paintings, especially this last bunch of character concepts, you have such a nice brushwork as well as beautiful color choices.
Do you search for reference for the concepts, or just pull them out of your head? Do you have a clear idea in your head when you start?

The board game looks interesting! Good luck for getting into that art school (When do you know if you're in?)

Sushy -Ja, dat is een lang verhaal.. long story short; na een bizarre toelatingsgesprek ben ik wel toegelaten, maar heb ik uiteindelijk besloten om het niet te doen.
    Thanks!

Lyraina -Thank you very much. It depends. I did a lot of research for the Mongolian characters, while the other characters are mostly from imagination. Along with photo reference I also posed in front of a mirror to get the poses just right.
I have a hard time visualizing my ideas, they are only vivid before I fall asleep.

Thank you! Well things didn't go quite as I expected, I did get accepted but I decided not to attend after all.

Ooh, why don't you attend (if you don't mind me asking, otherwise just ignore the question)? Posing before the mirror is something I definitely have to do more often.
The two animal sketches are nice... especially the turtle with the nice cyan colors
    Wish you all the best!

Great job with your sketches! Every time I look in your sb I got struck by the greatness of your characters! You've got the faces very beautiful with smooth hand and brush strokes. I really like the work in #358! Keep going!

Fantastic work, you are painting some sexy looking women, some of those faces are so gorgeous, portrait painting is def a strong area for you, like your chtracter design a lot to your a picking some pretty cool poses and the overall designs are really working.

I haven't been too happy with my pencils lately. While I do feel that I've gotten better at painting, I've noticed my pencil work has worsened in the process.

I remember my lines got better while studying Mucha's work and since I've recently bought a new Mucha book I've started studying his work again.

I really love all of this! All of it is very strong. My only real critique is I'd love to see some diversity among the body shapes of the females--the men have a pretty good diversity, but the females are all 'perfect' body shapes, and I feel like you're not taking advantage of the girls who are skinner or fatter than that. Anyway, cheers, mate, and love your stuff!

You have great charactrers! Quite the inspiration for me, considering I'm really focusing on figure studies and portraits right now.
Might I suggest concentrating on flow of the character and composition a bit more.

Hey dude, it has been a while. You are still doing great stuff, I envy you. But still, gotta admit that I agree with a couple of comments here. The figures, men and women, suffer from sameness. I would love to see some more fatter or older characters, you will see that you can take more risks with them. Still, love your recent studies, keep it up. What did you afterwards the intake day? Cheers, Tom

Wonderful SB, especially the faces of the women are amazing. Some variation wouldn't hurt though, and maybe you should finish the entire subjects and not only the heads/faces? I think they would look even better if you did.

I'd like to give my opinion on your update from November 12th (the commission).

I think the colours are great and the entire commission is impressive but I think it's a little "rigid". Unfortunately I think you lost a little of the spontaneity and dynamism of your stroke between the last rough sketch and your final illustration. The little twist of the face, the position of the legs and the angle of her arms gave a small "something" that I can't find in the final illustration. But it's really great anyway Just trying to be constructive.
    Keep it up !

Edit: Ach, ik zie nu dat je Nederlands spreekt. Het was alvast gemakkelijker geweest om mijn post in het Nederlands te schrijven; maarjah Hopelijk ben ik toch duidelijk.
I'd like to get your opinion on my drawings !

BlackDelphin - Thanks! Will do, I've been studying composition and doing gestures.
Greenhouse - Thanks, glad you liked them!
Tom van der Linden - Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I've been sketching different types of characters like people have been suggesting, I'll post some of them soon. HKU didn't work out for me unfortunately, I'm just going to continue on my own. Cheers
    ja1307 - Thank you.
PollyBoffin I will try to vary my work from now on and more importantly finish them, thanks!
Orango I've noticed this as well. There is a disconnect between my sketches and finished pieces, I really have to work on that. Thanks for pointing it out, I really appreciate it!
Zauselbart - Thank you very much!
Hyunjae - I'm glad you liked the Mucha studies I
