Toward the bottom I just added concepts of a creature we called the creeper.

wow, those are some creepy guys!

good rendering, but I think the construction of the legs is a bit vague. you can get away with that with normal people and animals, but if I had to model them, I wouldn't necessarily assume they would have joints in the places knees and ankles typically are.

Thanks for the props and feedback guys! And it's nice to here that somebody actually played the Suffering. I'll dig out some more of these when I have time.
Meanwhile I found some other artwork from the suffering. These are some illustrations of some of the special attacks you could use. Don't pick them apart, they were done quickly. I just thought people who played the game would find them interesting.

howdy- name's horia, i work w/ aaron coberly over at arena... anyways, the pic at the top, is that from the first game and is the special move stuff from the second? i saw some pieces (i think it was of special moves etc) from the sequel in like play magazine and i totally dug em... they were really painterly, but looked quick n' ballsy, I liked em lots and im glad i got to tell ya now

ps- do you (or someone you work with) have an email where i can contact jason merc -not sure if thats how spell his name- but he was a concept guy over there for a while, and i used to work w/ him at valve- super nice guy, but from what i understand he moved back to california and we lost touch... if you could PM me his contact (if youve got it) that be awesome.

Wow man, really dig the lithgning, the stuff on the first creatures legs (in the latest post). All of them are great, and they sure have waken my interest to this game. I have never heard of it before. Usually I don't like it when people tell all the good guys how extremely good thy are, but what the heck!
