Nice, I love your portraits...
Nice, I love your portraits...
Hi All, thanks a lot for your comments!! In this few months, I'm busy in learning traditional painting in a painting course. Maybe post some of my study later.
Today, this is a study of REMBRANDT portrait. This is a really good for learning~
You have a really nice and inspirational sketchbook here - heck, you're making me crave master-studies as well, and I'll probably do one next.I will also keep my eye on this thread - hope to see more from you soon!
Practice with photo reference. This time more concern on value.
I want to become stronger![]()
Hi All, some new sketches.
Recently I'm using ball pen to do sketching. This help me to pay more attention on each stroke I made. Because while using pencil, I always draw the strokes like trial and error.
Great studies, love your charcoal pieces
Keep it up!
Thanks for stopping by my thread!
I'm a fan of your digital portraits on your first page and you appear to be well on your way! Good stuff and keep posting!
Mike
Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! Your charcoal portraits and master copies are really astounding! Keep up the great work!
Hi Elz, thanks for watching!
Hi Mike, thx~ I'm so glad to hear this! I should keep posting more~
Hi Burdie, thank you! You may try to do master copy too. It's worth.

Dear All,
Update with my latest study. Reference with color photo. I mainly study the value on this piece.
I'd heard that someone said Value is the most essential element in a painting. So I must study more on this.
very nice, i like your coloured stuff

Hi Miycko, thank you!! Here is another colored stuff~

This is an one and half hour study. The original photo reference link below.

Although it is colored, my main concern is still value. Surprisingly, I found that while concerning value, the color become earlier to choose...
is she in her period? cuz that's a bit wierd, her body is a bit pale in comparison to her face though. the painting's great i really like her pose
i can't believe i didn't notice how nice that ass up there looks![]()

Hi All,
This is a study of Manet, The Fifer. I love the tint and shade color used by Manet. There is lots of things need to learn in art...![]()
