The lines are from a notebook of a veerry boring class I took about a year ago... said notebook was more of a sketchbook by the end of the semester than anything else. You might be able to make out some of the few notes I actually took. I aced the class, too... here's some more, melts into actual sketchbook stuff somewherein:

I noticed in your signature you used the words mediocrity and monotony to label your sketchbook. I beg to differ - I find it innovatively drawn with an innate humor you haven't fully discovered. I'd like to see more of your personality coming out in your characters and into the cities you've created for your graphic novel. The two environments you did on the Wacom tablet are excellent, you have skill with the pencil lead. Don't rush your progression, your art will improve with time if you keep envisioning what you want to succeed in - and remember, have fun with it.

I really like this work.

It's very rough in more than a few area, like anatomy, rythm, etc.

But when all is said, there is gold in these.

The ideas and dreams are in there and you can see them creeping out

I esp. like your most recent post-- while your previous ones, as indigartistic said, show your vision, the last post shows your technical side. Your poses are pretty dynamic, and I appreciate the range in body types (the first drawing is my favorite). I suggest you keep doing studies like these along with your more imaginative stuff.

indigartistic: thank you! I've got a ways to go before I'm natural with the form, but I'm glad someone can see my goal in the rough.

psypomp: thanks Psy, I definately need to start getting back into the technical stuff. Now that I'm out of school, I have the energy and patience to devote to studies - thanks for the advice.

Sir, you wound me! I am a connoisseur of stupid humor! It just doesn't come out very well online, which is a shame because I usually come off as a pompous ass.

I stopped by your sketchbook awhile back and I can't believe I didn't comment then. I am really enjoying your stuff and seeing the range of ideas you're putting down on paper. I enjoy your city/village scenes very much. Please post more work. I'd genuinely like to see it.

MyOrangeHat: Thanks! Definately working on posting more. The drawing you liked is actually one of my former roommates. That's the face he'd take on while gaming, his jaw moving with the controller. It was awesome.
