Hehe, I have similar thoughts every time I see that portrait. But it was painted only days before his death, at which time he had been an alcoholic for many years. Repin portrayed him with somewhat brutal honesty.

I think this thread is a little stereo typed, also I'd like to no not every male artist needs a moustache to do art and also the fact that there are female artists out there who would find this thread offensive.

Some people seem to make a habit out of being offended. Besides, just because it isn't gender normative doesn't mean anything is stopping girls from growing them too. Check out this completely unmodified picture of Anne Frank, for instance:

George Lucas is going to digitally correct a major problem with indiana jones. For once I agree.

Says the person with a Suckerpunch avatar. Talk about sexist and offensive.

Somewhat admirable. Join a major international art forum and
within 2 months of your membership, comprising of 3 posts,
manage to alienate yourself like you've been around for years.

    Oh and post no art.

Oh come on. We girls get *sandwiches*. I for one totally support the "give a delicious sandwich to a female artist" initiative.

If anyone is filling orders right now, I would like a grilled Nutella strawberry sandwich, and please wrap it up securely so the UPS guy doesn't eat it.

Well shit, no wonder I still suck! Hopefully my largely spanish and italian ancestry will bestow a mighty mustache upon my naked parafiltrum soon enough for me to finally become a true artist.
