Krato: Yeah I get you, that little bit below the chin that attaches the neck is pretty much missing. Also the width of the neck had been bothering me, cheers man
    My57: Thanks man

So I've got exams now, by the end of this week I should be able to do a lot of art though, and then another week of exams and I'm a free man. I'm going on to do an art course for years 12 and 13, so I'll have no excuses to be lazy! I don't expect much from the course but it should allow me a lot of freedom to study and stuff

some Loomis studies, he's so supreme

neat, the last face is looking really good, even though it looks liiike _____ style, however good news is that your work is slowly starting to be truly yours well i suppose it was always yours.. but you know what i mean.. i hope.

For some reason your work reminds me a lot of Miles' work. Not technically, but the faces and poses and such.

Nice work, especially last update. Pencils and digital paints are starting to look real good.
Make sure you get more of the underlying structure right before moving into the painting, that girl for example has a lot of skewed form/perspective to her. We are looking at her face (nose, eyes, chin) tilted to the left, but her eyes are almost as if her head is straight. Thats a real common thing to fall into cause your mind wants to look at the eyes on level.

Yea Kevin Chen is the man. I've actually been studying him as well recently and it's the first time it's actually all starting to make sense in a way that I can construct poses in various angles instead of memorizing how to draw some generic ones. Gotta love that guy.

Above girl portrait looks cool. Love how it looks all psychadylic and stuff. Her mouth is kinda tilted up forward a bit to much compared to the rest of the face. Outta persp and stuff. And yea love the photostudy.

    Yoyo Sam,
Lovely improvements man. Digi looks neat with lots of atmosphere etc.
Huge improvement in the pencils as well. Getting better at rendering and values you are.
Just want to grab your attention a little bit according your lines. You tend to be very blocky which is good to learn how to develop a system to construct figures but be sure to not rush anything and use less blocks so to say than needed. Some of your lowerlegs look like basically 2 sharp lines next to eachother. There are ofcourse many more curves. And I'd suggest you start to work with less lines instead of lifting the pencil every time you're planning on turning it just keep it going. WIll improve the line quality. If you want an example just look at Jana she totally powns it ;p.

can you refine your sketches a little more, the rendering is a little choppy but none the less i can tell without a doubt that the last post is the bald guy from character-designs.com really good studies man. oh and what paper or sketchbook are you using? would you recommend it over a moleskin -- if you have ever had a moleskin.

Wow, great improvement since last time I popped in, which has been too damn long ago. Keep it up. It´s looking great. Seems like you are doing it just as you should be.
