    Thanks] The7Artist7 Thanks very much

Gogo Thanks Thanks for popping in too, glad to see you back!

    Fniss Thank you

Anthis Thanks for the great crit, 'patting the line' that's a good way to put it, I will work on that Yeah it's so easy to forget the simple steps that you're taught at first, I get so sloppy sometimes and make loads of mistakes.

Anyways, here's some quick ink sketches I did today from google pictures....bellydancing. Check out Rachel Brice on google, she has the most gorgeous costumes.

Hi Angel: i like you lines, the hatching and repetitions adds interest to the drawing.
like the girl in 537 and the last belly dancer.
    as a reminder: watch proportions
    thanks for your explanation

takes care and good luck with your nexts

Wow, these ink drawings are great! Like zou mentioned, there are some anatomy issues, but the flow and looseness of the figures overall mask that impression, making these very enjoyable. Of course, without any anatomical inconsistencies they would be divine! (not to put you down, just to say that there's always something to reach for )

zou Thanks and I will, I did the drawings straight with ink so didn't have the chance to erase. But that's a good way to practice I'm finding.

Hai Thanks very much I plan to practice alot more and I'll take more care with my proportions. Cheers.

Well..some more ink. Deciding who to do for my final piece on my course...I am leaning toward Owen Wilson.

Hi J.S You're right, his mouth looks better on the first sketch, it is small thought so I'm working on another angle. Thanks for the crit.

Update: So I've been busy soldiering on and got almost all the Snooker Legends finished, here's Dennis Taylor, Michaela Tabb and Cliff Thorburn. Still have John Virgo to finish off. Then I can use the rest of the time left out of this month to do my final for the caricature course, which should take 3 weeks..haha, always leave things to the last minute (I must be a tight deadline junkie!)

oh..and a quick Matthew Perry caricature.

the inked heads looks fresh and good

the serie of renderings are good, but i guess you're still working on them. The edges on the chin need more softening

    good luck

To be honest, the nose on your Owen Wilson looks kinda phallic

Good job on the legends. I think Cliff Thorburn is the weakest of the bunch, he just seems a bit less defined somehow. Well done series though

Hi Hai Lol You know that's what I was thinking whilst drawing him, I shall smooth the bumps to make it look less rude hehe...but look at the ref photo, the shape is not far off . p.s I did another sketch where it's almost horizontal I might push that angle a bit more.

Hi zou and thanks, I will be painting Owen, going to start that tomorrow, going to draw his body next. The post in 550 is lacking contrast you're right, I tried fixing that and I've changed his waistcoat (as requested by the client)...

awesome stuff! I would suggest working on getting your lighting, espcially on the bodies. They look a bit flat in comparison to the faces. You can push your shadows darker, and round them out more. Photo references or models could help that too. Keep it up!

    hi there
nice change, my guess is it's graphite sketch then photoshop colors ?
i like very much the style

his body is pretty nice. but you could make better by narrowing the shoulder.
the red thing on her head is hair or clothes ? anyway you should make it more round to depict the skull wich is round.
don't forget some shadow in the ground.

    cheers

Zou Hiya thanks very much for the detailed crit and comment, I really like the sketch lines showing through too. I'll keep your observations in mind when I paint her up. I couldn't finish it for the deadline though, I got a bad case of sciatica and not been able to sit for too long and paint on ps for the last two weeks it's better now though

    Hi angel

i'm glad too see those new works: the ink and the photoshop.

concerning the last photoshop from ref. The sketch is pretty nice, but i don't see why you've added those 'waves' on her back, is it kind of horror creatures.
it would be nice if u paint more of kis wings.

take care mate, i remember my sciatic (aye)

Hi zou - the waves on her back are taken from the abdomen of a mantis, trying to incorporate insect anatomy into hers, I'm going for practical design which is trial and error at the moment, I shall work on that more. Thank you

anyhoo some thumbs and final idea for the Last Man Standing.
