    OmertA Thanks very much
Hi Zou Thanks , yeah a time limit is good, as I'm trying to be quicker and not get bogged down in detail Art school? nice! any art education is better than none! I missed having structured lessons so I've treated myself to Jason Seilers Caricature course on Schoolism for Christmas (the self-taught one, took advantage of the discount. Watched the first lesson today and it's awesome! A great supplement to your course I guess if you haven't already checked them out.

    Update
Am watching Underworld and had to do this quick sketch of Michael Sheen as Lucian, such a cool character.

Last two cartoons are GREAT! The textures serve goodness for you. One note though I think Lucien's nose is looking strange, perhaps the nose bridge is too wide? it makes it looks very bright on that spot. Really love your Selene, though

    Keep it up you!

hehe, really love those last two portraits!

your stuff from imagination isn't quite there yet, and i think it might be partly because you get caught up in shading and finishing before you've fixed up the foundations.

another thing i'm noticing is that you don't vary your line weight a lot, that might be because you do a lot of shading, but it gives some of your pieces a 'traced' look. just my two cents tho, might be intentional as you're trying to lose the linework under your shading

wow, this Michael Sheen caricature is awesome, the lighting is great. is it because of the seiler course. i checked the trailers of schoolism, they seems great courses, but the fees are so expensive (for me of course) !
but you're making such a good work ! if i had money i would grad some courses.

    the girl is good too
    cheers

Hi Witcrack Thanks I enjoyed using that brush, and I'll look at his nose, I might have done it too bright.

NeonDuck Thanks very much you've made very good points. I do trace my drawings if I'm working in pencil so that would be why I guess but I will look out for my line weight a bit more.

zou Thank you it was great lighting in a scene where he's in the lift so I stopped the film and drew him. The course is awesome and inspiring, the self taught is way cheaper than the full course but not as involving because of it which is a shame but you get access to the videos for 3 months and you still hand your assignments in an get a grade and feedback.

Update - First two drawings for assignment one (have to do 5 loose and simple drawings keeping in mind shapes and where the weight is distributed.

Haha Tom Hank's smile is practically unmistakable in any medium. Liking the caricature offerings here, and your last EOW wasn't too shabby for a practice round. I like the overview perspective of the harbour, and the purplish hue was an interesting choice.

    Keep doing you

post 498 , last picture: soo sensual ! nice values !

post 497: great work especially the last one with large hair. I didn't know that, you have to make such little studies and explaratory thumbs to make caricature.

    cheers

The IceCube assignement is really fresh !
the graphite studies shows confident lines. Sketching is your best friend
but the last one needs a bit concentration (proportions)

good luck with your nexts !
