You have a cool style developing. I love the cloth on the arms of that last pic. The shading gives it sweet textures.

Nice work here! You have a good eye for colour, and your tonal studies are getting really pro too. Keep working at the anatomy, your limbs are looking very thin try incorperating the muscles within your poses, such as the bicep, triceps etc etc.
Also the torso looks a little block like sometimes. Have you tried drawing a skeleton ? getting familiar with the shape and positioning with the rib cage and hips may help this.

Thanks everybody ! I really appreciate the supportand the nice words, as well as your great advices, i'm sorry i can't reply to everyone, it's the less i can do, but tonight i'm so so tired ! I'll follow your advices, and will work harder ! Thanks Lyno for your links, really useful ! And Phil, i taged my sketchbook this way to attract peoples, it seems it worked for ya :p !

Well today i didn't scan all my stuff, first because i'm tired, then, because some of my studies didn't worth watching it ( always stiff figures, etc, damn, i should stop making always the same mistakes and more study anatomy ! )

Good news everyone ! It seems that bridgman and me are friends again, so he will teach me some anatomy stuff again !

So basic shading, an unfinished sp ( i was bored doing it, plus the proportions are totally off !) I should maybe do some warmup before drawing a sp :/

And a value study, from a colored photo ! when i'm painting from a b&w ref, i usually have the right values, but when it's from a color ref, i'm totally focused on colors, and forget values, so now i'm doing values studies from colored refs ! Anyway, here are my stuff ( sorry i don't find the original ref for the value study )

Looking good, the portrait shows improvement!

One thing I would recommend is to use soft and hard brushes for things like hair and just edge variation in general. If you alter the hardness of your brush, you can make layers of hard and soft edges really quickly. Its hard to explain what I mean, but its something you might wanna try anyway, not really a crit, keep it up!

You have a good pencil technique and methinks your values are getting stronger with each post! I think it's just a matter of drawing mileage and time before you really start to take off. Keep workin hard and I'll be sure to drop a line every now and then so take care duuude!

Man Made God : Thanks bro, you're always there to help me, i really appreciate it ! Well, i should try to play with edges ! But for now, i'm more focused on working on the light ! Because i mean all i see in my painting is values, i wanna create light, and shadow, and stuff like that, create this magical thing that will bring my painting alive, and i know this magical thing comes from values ! So i'll keep it up, but don't worry, i'm gonna try to use several brushes ! Thanks again

    Jamesy : Thanks !

MacTire : Merci beaucoup ! Take care :p

Well today, a sp and some anatomy studies ! But like i'm studying anatomy right now i can't scan my stuff, so i'll show you the studies tomorow :p

Another thing is that i created my livestream channel ! You can check this out http://www.livestream.com/walidart

i hope some of you will help me to improve, by giving me critics and leaving comments :p !

Didn't notice but this is my 400th post ! Pop champaaaaaaaaagne !

    nice

just one suggestion: use either: a soft, non-mech pencil and try to get the planes down. the way you render is nice, but you would benefit more if you focus on planes first, I belive. or use photoshop and a rather big brush…

    take care!

lol i think you meant to put 'm' where the 'n' is in honey u crack me up!!

yea it was great to see you flow on the tube! Your values are getting better and I think using slightly darker darks in the shadows will help to add depth to the form and make forms pop. Also the linework definitely came through in the end and good construction too!

Hey man! Good stuff. Nice portrait in post#397 but I think her eyes are a little bit to wide from each other. Tried to change it in PS and I think it looks better that way. Nothing big though . I would recommend doing more studies. Do skull studies, proportions studies,...figure studies ....
Good job doing those SP btw.

I had fun looking at your latest work, your original characters are fun and you're obviously enjoying that. Definitely keep up the imaginative stuff along the fundamental studies.

I'd also like to see more colour studies from you! You do a lot of pencil and b/w studies in Photoshop, so a little splash of colour every now and then would probably help too

    Nice progress.
A tip when working with grays on sketches. Remove all
white and work with lighter and darker values on a grey
background. Its hard on your eyes with the white. hope
    you know what I mean.
