Nice rendering studies. I'm sure they will help a lot.

Anyway, on the mouse drawing, you can unify the shading a lot by shading across the whole shaded side of the mouse. So not only the forms turn around the details, but the big shape as well. Not sure if that makes sense.............

Very fresh new work, I like the variety of everything you're putting in here! I like the self portraits and all the other studies. Keep those going because those seem like they could really benefit you if you continue em! I like the basic shape renderings you've got on this page too.
I don't know if it's just the scanner or not, but I think you could push your values more on those studies! My only other critique is that in your self portraits you may just be drawing your eyes a bit too big? Maybe...just measure twice next time I guess! Maybe I'm full of shit. :3

Also, you commented in my sb and I wanted to ask-- what's wrong with using square brushes?! :3

Hey Walid, thx for stopping by . I must agree with the rest, I also like your SP's.
Though you could improve your rendering of your shadows a bit, but I'm sure that will be no problem at all, just keep going, and you'll get there for sure .

Very nice studies mate.In the previous page you have a Sp with very nice clean linework.Keep up the next with similar line system.Confident and clear.
The fact that it consists mostly of straight lines(very little curving) offers sculptural mass.(as well by not using shadows, but by presenting contours)
If you have checked Chromosome linework you will understand.

Keep studying anatomy, and make some simplify to the bodies when you see them to understand their basic forms and proportions.

    See ya

You have some really nice forms in your drawing/studies. Some of them look like mannequin, but know once you add some color and more subtle tone it will really pop out.
Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

    ...ahem.

Anywho the studies are definitely paying off, great improvement here, especially on the linework on the self-portrait in post #349. As for the rendering practice, maybe some darker values might help in places. Nice mprovement on the digital side of things too!!

    Keep up the great work!!

Nice studies Walid D. Try playing around with good old wooden pencil especially after sharpen it to render using the side of the lead. It is a good for blocking in tones as you will try to balance your economy of strokes.

Hey Walid . I suggest that you do some Kevin Chen figure studies. I think it will help you think about the mass of your figures. They look a bit flat. Another thing that can help you is drawing through.

I hopes this helps a bit

Looks like you've improved again! Your pencil rendering is looking better and the design looks more thought out than your previous ones. At the same time, the proportions are off and the fabric and folds could be more convincing... it's hard to think about everything at the same time, so keep doing the studies!

She'd better be careful or she's going to lose her skirt! Seriously, though, I love that you're having fun with character and costume design. Keep nurturing this creative side of your art as much as the more academic stuff--you'll definitely keep improving.

keep coming with those designs you have the idea right with slightly varying the pieces of costume on each side of the body, keep doing that, but dont' forget the structure underneath the fabric, or the weight of the fabric. costume design is a lot about silhouettes too, so maybe if ur curious look up the different kinds of silhouettes fashion designers use. (this could be incredibly boring to...depends on what ur into xD) keep it coming walid!

    I sense improvement in here.
Keep up those smaller studys, they will bring you further in a smaller amouth of time. Try to get a feeling of the overall image before turnung towards the details.

Nice work man! Good variety of studies going on here. I think some of the poses for the figures you draw from your head seem a little stiff though. You could twist the poses a bit more even if its just slightly moving the shoulder and pelvis planes. That would help make things a bit more dynamic.
