This post and every post from this point on is dedicated to Coro.

I'm fashionably late, lets set this bitch on fire.

Koontz Keep it rollin' girl..I want to lick that blue toad frog, pretty face you rock. And you don't gotta wait for us to post before you go again, if you got something put out. I know you got some more League, GIVE IT UP.

LOOPY! Am I the only one with a scanner? keep sketcherin ur pretty anorexics. MOAR

Kvick, the sp you're doin' is takin a while, it better be full body nude.

*Note: Spilling water on your tablet and leaving it overnight while you sleep.. bad idea. Hopefully it will work If I let it dry a for a few days, Its recovered from spilt milk once before, so di-hydrogen monoxide shouldn't cause too much harm. So for now I am without a tablet and I don't own a mouse, so there will be no new digi art coming up. :/ Navigating the comp via keyboard is fun tho...learning lotsa new hotkeys.

First up, a parasite joke I shamelessly stole from Mr. Kvick, some other sketches from yesterday and an old digi for sex appeal.

just to make my presence known i'm uploading some shit

loops extended an invite and I snatched it up

basically all of these are moderately old sketches done on sketcher. they're pretty sloppy and I don't really like them but whatever since I don't have a scanner that's the best I can do at the moment.

after this i'm gonna go scratch my butt and fall asleep somewhere

new stuff soon maybe possibly but its fairly unlikely all the same since i'm lazy

    Ok people.

Don't say you don't like your shit, and if you are going to post try to comment/critique others work, that's the point of a sketch group. League is doin good there. Even if its a "you suck practice more". Also don't ever mention how shitty your day was, or what orifice you are playing with, or bleeding from at the current moment. If you do that shit, not only are you out, but the group will not to survive.

That was general, not directed towards anyone in particular. Remember, being part of the Autistic Union of Supernouches is a privilege not a right.

    That said,

Kvick cool stuff, I'm sure coro will be pleased. The poses are a bit stiff, try reffing some action stuff, like sports.

skrog, the word prodigy doesn't come to mind, but nice gestures, looking forward to some stuff you are more happy with.

A small study of a hand sketch by mentler, I really liked how he used green on it. I'm working on a bigger study too

Great sketches Skrog, you got a good impression of each pose. I'd like to see some different body types

mm. i'll try working on some different body types, I do seem to be pigeonholing myself into one shape.

something I did notice on your hand study was that the pinky seems a little skewed from the rest of the hand. That might have just been the way the original sketch was, though? Dunno, but I like the colors in it. I think I might have seen the original at some point. Nice painterly effect, too.

I always like your sketches kvick. The angle of the girls head was really nice up close in sketcher, just needed more patience on her feet cause you did do them nice on all the others. The bird guy with no arms is my absolute favorite

quick portrait of Yann Tiersen, a french composer. He did the soundtrack for "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain". It was released in America a while ago under "Amelie" I think. Really good movie! This doesn't look much like him though, haha.

Kvick, I can't believe you were stashing all those sketches. I've never seen half of those before. If you could upload a bigger version of the armless bird dude and the colorful guy dragging his butt on the ground, i'd be verrrrry thankful. It just looks like they have too much detail to be fully appreciated at such a small size. The floating thing with the scorpion looking tail is sweet, too. Your figures still seem a little stiff, though. Rigid. Maybe you intended that though, because i've seen you do relaxed figures just fine before.

sorry for my lack of updates - i still haven't gotten to a scanner to capture my sketchbook, but this'll have to do. mostly i wanted a reason to give some feedback

koontz: i mentioned this in sketcher, but i really love your use of colors. you've got an awesome grasp of it all; i envy you. :| nice job on the arm study; loving the colors. do you normally practice by doing master studies?

kanoodle: welcome back loving your old sketches, especially the lines on the crabby guy. you've gotten even better since the last time i you posted - awesome yo. which school are you at now?

skrogs: nice sketches, i like how loose and gestural they are. you've got a hell of a better grasp on anatomy than myself. still, i want to see your sketchbooks. use that library scanner!

kvick: you've gotten way better since i saw you last too! nice sketches, i really like the girl-scene and the elephant guy. i'm going to echo skrog though, some of your characters do seem a bit stiff. maybe study some standing poses? i guess i'm not really sure why you've got the inconsistency, but uh...it should help

anyway, here's a thing from sketcher tonight, being bored and all that. really, i'm going to try and get to a scanner tomorrow, it's annoying not being able to show my traditional stuff

    GG

Good stuff guys, keep it up.

    Seth

Koontz, those colors look off the green looks incorrect, especially with that maroon background. I've seen Mentler use some pretty odd color schemes before and get them to work before.. did you copy it exactly?

Kvick Bird man thing is the strongest imo...keep doin your thing man.

Skrog I second what koontz said, different body types, I would like to see. nice study...dont shy away from color

Loops I'll talk to you on aim when I get the chance we'll get all caught up, exchange pleasantries and the such . nice ladies loopy, I can see more confidence in your stroke now. I'd like to see other body types from you as well, break out of your comfort zone.

SSG art duels. It's going to happen. The idea would be simple, something like one thread on a specific topic, each person in each group would submit an image according to the theme. There would be a pole on the thread, where people could vote for one of the groups. Everyone's homework is to start scouting out other ssgs in your spare time, preferably ones around our skill level, you know, the best. Report them to me in pm or on sketcher. I'll organize it and let you know whats going down, so we can prepare. And If anyone in a rival ssg is reading this and is up for the challenge, pm me and we'll work something out.

    my offering for the night...

thanks Kanoa, I hate defending my work like this because it sounds lame, but its definitely not an intended realistic color scheme. His sketch was on yellow paper I believe, with just a wash of watercolor. In any case, this is just an expression of my inspiration, mainly I was focused on contrast, you'll see me trying to push them more and more in my next paintings (hopefully)
